This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom convertible with a fresh body-off, no expense spared build was auctioned for $258,500 at the 48th Annual Barrett-Jackson Auction at WestWorld of Scottsdale. John Weber from the Weber Body Shop in Victoria, KS, tells us the details before it heads to the block and drives away into the beautiful Arizona sunset.

Gorgeous, but not worth selling price.. more like an 80k car if that even with so much work done.. a 57 original either copo or special order is in line with selling price. Barrett Jackson does bring out stupid people with big bucks. Around by area one black on black convertible loaded with factory extras running on a 572 I believe, new everything for 70k. Have the chance to snag it... but California divorce fucks one up financially..

Nice Car but I wished the Builder would have chosen a more period correct color. BMW changes is colors every 15 years so while this is trendy now, it will look weird soon enough. You wouldn't want a restomod from 2005, they look like shit.
