A rule of high-sticking when shooting: "Offences leading to a free-hit ... When a field player raises the blade of his stick above waist level in the back swing before hitting the ball, or in the forward swing after hitting the ball. This includes mock shots. A high swing *is* *allowed* if no other players are in the vicinity, and there is no risk of being hit. As waist level is considered the level of the waist when standing upright." (IFF Rules of the Game. 2018)

You have to turn your toes toward the goal when you doing outsweeper.. and goalie is bad...

You can PLAY (hit) the ball only below your knee, but you can lift the stick up to your waist. If there's nobody close by, you can even follow the shot with stick higher
