This song from the lyrics... Speaks about a guy who has discovered that the person he has loved, who has betrayed him or lied to him in a unforgivable way. So he says to himself - as much as it kills him, that he is cutting ties with that person. He says years make everything alright... as if clichés are supposed to help the situation, however they don't make amens immediately fix what's happened. Its about a realisation of betrayal and coping with the feelings it brings, and saying that hes fine with it as he now just feels numb towards the person, the spark/magic is now gone.
