I’m a strong believer in the notion that if we didn’t see a body, then a character isn’t dead. They set it up this way so they could end it if they wanted to but also return if there was enough demand. Seeing how every John Wick film has been a success over the last I’d say it’s a safe bet to assume that there will be a 5th installment and possibly more down the line.

Even seeing JW4 the first time, I saw that the references to him dying were all through it. From the desert scene where he is told that he will only know peace in death, to getting dealt aces and eights as a poker hand, the writing was all over the wall. I also thought that even assuming he could gain his freedom, the best way to be safe afterward would be for everyone to Believe that he was dead, and thus finally finding peace. Winston and the King could easily have arranged such a thing, and there is a telling lack of a mound of disturbed earth from a recent burial in the closing scene at the grave markers.

They could literally just say that winston and king faked his death so the table wouldn’t look for him. Just because he’s “free” doesn’t mean they wouldn’t be out for revenge. I think it would be cool if his coffin actually had a bunch of assassin stuff in it like under the garage in the first one. Loving John Wick to the max has been my favorite journey in movies. I predicted after JW3 that at some point, an ending to John's journey would close out. Keanu created this amazing man, sorrowed, lost, and looking for peace. As much as I would love to see JW again, my problem is what will he fight for next time? We know JW had no direction when Helen died. I personally believe JW must rest in peace. If not, then his whole journey 1-4 is pointless. Keanu is smart enough to understand that his integrity of making movies should always come first. I thought that the ending of chapter 4 was a bit open for interpretation. He sort of just collapsed after his final gunfight, just like he collapsed so many times before seeming to die , but not dying. He had to "die" in 4 to get a break from all his enemies still after him.

Lemme tell you how it will go. Lionsgate is probably preparing for a Young version of JW and make a totally different storyline on how John Wick became Baba Yaga. This could be awesome to watch but also heartbreaking not to have Keanu anymore in the role😢😢😢😢 Hoping they will do justice to the role❤❤❤

The best way to five would be to have The High Table start biting it one at a time from the supposed Baba Yaga, and have Keanu play a shadow and cameo stalkerish type character. Then when the ultimate assassin taking on the table finally appears in the big reveal, it’s the girl getting her revenge and using Cane dressed up like John Wick as a ghost to freak them into goofing up.

The ending of John wick 4 should of been. A slow cut back after the grave to see John standing there. And you think he is still alive. And then you hear his wife say, “John let’s go, you can relax now.” As he looks to see his wife and his dog standing there. And he walks towards them.

John Wick 5 will probably have 4 possibilities: 1. The beginning of John Wick's life as most lethal assassin until he retired. 2. The John Wick's legacy after he died (more about stories of John Wick's friends) but that could be boring if no better action happened rather than John Wick 4. 3. John Wick actually not died but Winston need to fake the John Wick's burial so he can have his normal life back. With new identity and new life but still as dangerous as John Wick that we've all known. 4. John Wick was actually died but somehow he get back to life as real Baba Yaga that can't be killed at all, who will hunt down every last member of The High Table. 😁

I refuse to believe John is dead. I believe it was all a cover up (his tombstone), a false way to make people hunting him to forget about him, to think he's gone, but in reality he's still alive but....lets just say, in hiding till he needs to "do something". He had to fake his own death, there were too many people coming for him, and he had alot of help in doing all this. I want a JW5 as long as the script is GOOD, it can happen!

I'm torn - I LOVE how the 'Legend' of John Wick ended in chapter 4. As a quadrilogy, it's an EPIC story. But I still want more XD And I don't wanna lose Winston, as I'm sure he wouldn't be in any more if John Wick is trying to not return to the spotlight.

That's awesome because I knew John Wick couldn't possibly be dead because that's not how a duel works. Show me one time in all of history where a duelist won, but then died immediately afterwards from duel sustained wounds? Both duelists would lose if that happened. I mean, it wasn't as race to see who dies first was it? The rules are simple, whoever survives the duel wins. If Wick doesn't survive the duel, how can he claim victory? I digress lol. I personally think the Harbinger finds out that Wick died as a result of the duel, so he cancels the deal with the Manager, which forces the Manager to prove Wick is actually alive. Just a plot idea for the confirmed John Wick Chapter 5, which is in development as of now. My gripe about the duel notwithstanding, I'd like to see Wick 5 take place 5 or 10 years down the road, like "John Wick Out of the Shadows" This would please everyone because it would cement Chapters 1-4 as a single story with an end, and 5 would be the beginning of a new book, so to speak. Ehh I could talk Wick all day.
