I think John's actions basically put the fear of someone like him appearing into the minds of the high table. So even tho John is now gone, what he did and how much damage he did made the high table cautious. Bc if there is one. There is many. What made John dangerous is that he had nothing to lose. And there's a lot killers that are just as good as he is. But what keeps them in line is the fear of the Table. And John shattered that fear into a million pieces.

One of the things that makes me think John wick is not dead, is the fact that when he was talking to the Bowery king and Winston about their relative epitaphs, John said, specifically, he just wanted the word “John, beloved husband“ and yet the epitaph we see is “John Wick, beloved husband.” so I think that small change may indicate that wick is still alive.

I still think his wife didn't die. Her "illness" was never fully disclosed. What if also she wanted out? Remember, it was said he wanted to leave because of her. Viggo could not make that decision. The blind assasin said he "needed him" to make it to the chair. He wanted out too. John also puts himself back towards the sun rise maybe so the blind assassin could get a better contrast of vision to aim. What's also interesting is the Chapter 3 scene when the doctor tells Wick where to shoot him at, Wick was shot in practically the same area. I'm thinking, if John had a death wish to be with Helen he wouldn't have fought to survive. I think she is alive.

The only way I can see him not dying deals with winning a championship. Nobody really knew much about the mysterious head in the desert and the only way to find him was to walk till you drop. Well, what happened to that man’s past? He has no past and he only serves a purpose. If the only way to dethrone and replace someone is through combat, the most feared assassin that killed many powerful characters might have had to erase his past to take that position. Only way to do that is by faking his death. Unless that far out idea is what happens, I don’t think he’ll ever return because he made way to many enemies.

I realized that if he stays dead, it means he didn't win the duel. I don't care if he killed the other guy first, if he also dies from duel-sustained wounds 30 seconds later, that means they both won and both lost. So it's a draw. That's how they could bring him back in. The High Table could be like "Nope, Wick died as a result of that duel, so he didn't actually win, which means your life is forfeit and we get our hotel back." That would mean he'd have to show them Wick is really alive, or it'll piss him off so much he'll bring Wick into a new war with the table. If Ballerina takes place between 3 an 4, I bet they could be like Ballerina did a major favor for Wick while he was recovering and Wick gave her a marker. In Ballerina, she goes after her parents killers, which probably puts a target on her back from the High Table. So in Wick 5, you could have the manager and Ballerina show up to Wicks hideout home with that marker saying the time for hiding is over....Duuude I wanna talk to Keanu and present that idea lol. That's all

there is absolutely NO way John died from a gunshot wound to the arm, shoulder trap, and side of the torso. None of which are any major organs. He has received way worse damage in the past and got up to live again. The ending was left ambiguous on purpose, even the ending of the chapter 4 itself didn't feel emotional. John isn't dead, but for the sake of the movies, personal plans of the actors, writers and producers and the studio - its been left open ended. So, if the fans really want a 5th, there shall be one.

I think that if they want to give John a rest for a little they should start from the beginning with a different character and call it a different movie but in the same world. the world of John Wick is extremely wide and has a lot of characters in it that could be no less entertaining. You may have missed a key point in the movie. When John & Caine begin climbing the steps, Caine stabs his sword tip through John's hand and John pulls his hand through the blade, just as "Nobody" did when the Marquis stabbed his hand. It was very brief, and only the end of Caine's sword went through John's hand. Blink and you would miss it. John and Caine made a pact to work together at that point. It's clear that they both were following a plan to kill the Marquis. I noticed that John didn't fire the last round at 10 paces. Afterwords, he told Caine "you owe me one", meaning he took a bullet to help Caine get to "see" his daughter again.John isn't dead, too much $$$$ left on the table. Funeral was staged.

I’m not convinced John is dead either and in chapter 4 they have added too many new characters that are intertwined. Remember Jinny the cop ? He always looked the other way when it came to John’s activities. What hold does John have over Jimmy ? Could it be that John gave the mysterious daughter to Jimmy to hide her. John clearly asked, “ do you want to know where she is ?” Also for 2 elite assassins, dueling pistols at such a short distance would’ve easily killed each other on the first shot . Just like when John shot the doctor to make it look real with little damage being done.

WHY NOW? also, never had he ever referred to john wick as 'my son'. it has always been made known that john wick was orphaned. maybe there's more to his relationship with winston. never has winston's background been revealed. is he john's father (which he knew all along but kept hidden from john?) FOUR - will the murder of the head of the high table simply go unanswered? Imagine this, John wick 5 starts off with the first 10 mins, with King Morpheus recruiting other topnl tier assassin's and in the 11th minute John wick appears in the sewers and that recruiting other top tier assassin's was his plan all along in order to bring down the high table 🔥🔥🔥🔥 (i. Mean u can't bring down a high table criminal assassin organisation without a team of its own) with many precious characters coming back (Halle berry, koji's daughter) along with new ones tony ja, Scott Adkins (play new character), etc

I think John Wick 5 COULD happen. There are too many people with scores to settle or have had promises of freedom by The High Table reneged upon. So, the allies finally team up to either takeover The High Table or dissolve it. Winston, Sophia, Akira, Caine and Mr Nobody with John Wick in the shadows as the “Ace In the hole/tactical commander” John only coming in and out of the dark as needed. If the story is written well, it could be a very cool movie.

This story full of surprises, of countless different emotions, cannot end so simply! I studied the fact that "John Wick" was not fatally shot! Yes, he lost a lot of blood, which led to him fainting on the steps, but I think that Mr. Nobody, who was present at the duel, together with the dog, saved by "John", they will save him somehow, as only a story is part of the wonderful world of the film, of the imagination where practically anything is possible. Then, "John" has not yet fulfilled his mission, here on earth, he must return, to do "cleaning", let's not forget, he "John" grew up and suffered tortures known only to him and his soul, in this motley world where he had to become the best of the best becoming a human weapon polished to perfection, so that he is not killed in his turn.

If I was writing John Wick 5, I would make no reference to J.W. in any way. It would be a movie about a team of assassins working through a list of names they have been hired to eliminate. That would cover the first 60 - 90 mins. Then they get a call to eliminate another person living in a cabin deep in the woods, a quick easy job. As they're moving through the woods, getting closer to their target. One of the men makes a reference to, after this job they'll be spending at least a week relaxing at the closest Continental they can find. As the woods start to clear, all they see are crosses in the ground everywhere they can see, marking graves. Then they start getting picked off one by one. Never seeing who is killing the assassins until the leader of the group is seen kneeling in front of a cabin, covered in blood. Saying that if he knew John was the target, he would have never come. John Wick speaks in Russian, "John Wick is dead, I am the Baba Yaga." Then the last 30 - 40 minutes of the film are of J.W. making his way to the high table. Killing the one who sent the assassins & telling the rest of the high table members that if so much as one more person comes for him, they're all going to die by his hand. Similar in the way of Dusk till Dawn how it went from a kidnapping movie to a vampire movie, a complete flip of the storyline. Having no reference to J.W. not even in name and a strong enough cast for it to be, or at least look like a straight forward action movie.

He proly playing dead to be in peace, and the high table is still around, cant believe they let him die whitout ending it for good. Tho i admit the actors ans producers need a break, this kind of action quality requires ALOT of time ans energy.

Tho it seems they could have set it up that way, I really hope they don't have john wick survive and come back in another movie. Would cheapen his death for an obvious cash grab. My headcanon hopes for a sequel. Is that the "Idea of John Wick '' wasn't successfully extinguished. All the ideas for other character spin offs could be rolled into one maybe like a miniseries. The high table, annoyed about how much John was able to accomplish, outwardly honors how the issues were settled. But secretly they break their own rules and enroll a group of master assassins and more, that they call they call FireFighters or something, to take out all of John Wicks remaining allies, friends, sympathizers, friendly associates and even those who mercifully survived encounters with john, who have all been labeled by the high table as CandleWicks that need to be put out. Friends and those who respected John that were seen throughout the 4 films. So these targets, already troubled by all the craziness that transpired, begin to notice they are on the high tables shit list and some of them even have a few suspicious near death "accidents" so they ban together to finish what John Wick had started, taking down the high table from within the organization. They may also recruit new characters, more friends of johns and others who have been wronged by the high table in some way or another thus spreading the flame. I think an illuminati criminal underworld espionage gun fu style of Scuicide Squad, called The Candle Wicks or something like that sounds cool to me. All these master assassins and hotel managers and mafia bosses and more. I'm thinking mainly Winston with his powerful connections, Baoury King with his assets and john's dog, The Director with her students, Cassian, Sophia and her dogs, Akira and her ninjas, Mr Nobody and his dog, The Sommelier with his supplies, Johns Family with Katia and Klous, and zero's students i think they survived. And by extension Francis, Abram with his russian thugs, Harry, Julius, The Doctor, Aurelio, Jimmy the Cop and anyone else i forgot. Was thinking Cain should be in it but not leading the rebels, he's retired and Akira has conflict with him but maybe he could get roped in somehow, maybe the adjudicator or something for some juicy drama and he can change sides at the end and an after credits duel with Akira which she does something unseen in this dark universe, forgive. Doesn't matter though this won't happen, maybe i'll write it up as fan fic.
