that's exactly what is sitting in the horn now! The Beast was a runner up for me on the Conn - still deciding on the Edwards preference though

@@WilliamLangI like the Momo most for the Edwards as well, but I don’t find your Edwards to sound nearly as good as your Conn.

there's definitely some Minick magic in that Conn!

The bigger pieces made the horns sound louder, imo, smaller ones are a little bright, perfect for like jazz or solo work or just when you want to be poppy, large ones are good for every other setting, but its all what the player's used to. I play on a 2g and i have no issue with getting a thick and dark sound

for the Conn I've been gravitating towards the Momo, which is 27.22mm, and the Beast, which is 29.00mm. Both of those felt they encouraged me to be more expressive, and were technically solid as well, even though the rim sizes are quite different!

For me, the Momo was the obvious choice on the Conn. On the Edward’s, the Sachse was a little hard to tell but the beast was the clear winner on the Heldenleben followed by the GP. I could tell on the GP that it was less consistent across ranges, so my overall winner for the Edward’s was the Beast.

The Momo is a really solid piece! I hope to compare it to some LI Brass models and a Markey 87/90 in the future. The Beast does sound really nice on the more modern horn also
