As a Jamaican old time music lover,i must say that i am so impressed not even in Jamaica people dont dance like that,especially to that raw dub music. To be honest you wont find too many people even playing dub music in Jamaica. Thank you Africa, i love it❤❤❤❤

England is Jamaica away from Jamaica for dub and reggae. It basically inspired all of their dance music too. Other than Jamaicans, I think the British were all in on sound system and soundclash culture before anybody.

@@Flashback_Jack That is not true. Where did you get this from? Soundsystem culture IS FROM JAMAICA. They had soundsystems before Reggae even existed even before Ska and Rocksteady they played US Soul and Blues on Soundsystems. It where the jamaicans who brought it over to the UK. The thing is that in Jamaica at the end of the eighties all these soundsystems stopped playing dub and roots and played dancehall instead while in UK the heavy dub somehow survived - mainly because Jah Shaka refused to play dancehall and stayed true to the roots and inspired a new generation of soundsystems and the development of UK Dub.

@@hanshandkante5055 Before the transatlantic sl@ve trade,there was the Arab sl@ve trade which lasted far longer,there are documented accounts of many of the sl@ves speaking ARABIC when shipped to the americas‼️(you do the rest of the maths👍) Because So a lot of people have been ill informed
@hanshandkante5055
@hanshandkante5055 Жыл бұрын
@@tmad8518 First of all, wouldn't arabic slave trade to the americas be ALSO transatlantic slave trade? If it crosses the atlantic its transatlantic. Also you got some things wrong. - The indigenous people of Jamaica where indios from south america. The spanish completely exterminated this indigenous population. - To compensate for the lack of workers, they brought the first African slaves to the island from 1517, mainly from the Gold and Slave Coast. - The Gold Coast is the historical name for parts of the coast of TOGO and GHANA - The Slave Coast is the historical name for other parts of the coast of TOGO, also for the coast of BENIN and NIGERIA. Togo, Ghana, Benin and Nigeria are ALL located in WEST AFRICA. The slaveholders who sold these black slaves to the Portugese and Spanish were INDEED muslims BUT NOT ARABS but african nations like Ashanti, Yoruba and Dahomey. So these black slaves did NOT speak arabic because the enslaved as well as the slavetraders where from WEST AFRICA and not from arab speaking ethnicities. Ashanti is part of the Akan language, Yoruba is a language family on its own, and the Dahomey speak Fon, a language that is part of the Kwa language family. Also these highly militarized african nations (Ashanti, Oyo/Yoruba and Dahomey) brought no slaves to the americas, they sold slaves to spanish, portugese, danish and british and these europeans brought them to america. The Ashanti, Yoruba and Dahomey had organised militarized warriors who made excursions to the inner highlands where they enslaved other africans, mainly young men between 15 and 30 years. The worse part is that in Sudan and Mali the Tuareg STILL hold slaves TODAY, these slaves are called Ikla. Back in 1950 the french estimated that roughly 50% of Sudans population where still enslaved.
