Kedarkantha Winter Trek (6500 Feet from Base Village & 12500 from Sea level)
As far as Winter is Considered, Kedarkantha is one of the best Winter trek in India suitable to all Nature & Adventure Lovers. The trek is recommended for all adventure souls who like snow and High Mountains, irrespective of the prior experience. Since the trek difficulty level is easy to moderate, anyone can go on this trek. The best time to visit the Kedarkantha trek is in the months of December to February. The entire region is covered with sparkling white snow. Total Distance of Kedarkantha trek is 23 Kms. Kedarkantha trek height is around 12,500 ft, but trekkers have to only climb uphill for 6,000 ft to reach the summit. You will get to see holy peaks like Swargarohini, Black Peak, and Bandarpoonch during Kedarkantha and come back absolutely thrilled and refreshed. If the snowy mountains attract you then this the best time for you to witness the true beauty of nature.
Pune to delhi to dehradhun
Day 1
Dehradun to Sankri (Altitude 6400 Ft - 220 kms, 10 Hours)
All Participants have to report at Dehradun Station before 7 am & Drive towards Sankri by Sumo / Jeep. Reach Sankri around 5 pm. Evening at Leisure. Dinner.
Overnight at Sankri.
Day 2
Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab (Altitude 6400 to 9100 ft. - 4 kms Trek, Approx 4 to 5 Hours)
After Healthy Breakfast move for a Beautiful trek towards Juda-ka-Talab. The Trail Passes through dense pine Forests, Maple Trees, Streams & Finally opens out to Beautiful Meadows.
Overnight at Juda-ka Talab.
Day 3
Juda-ka-Talab to Kedarkantha Base - (Altitude 9100 to 11250 Ft - 4 kms, 2.5 Hours)
After Breakfast move towards the Base Camp. You will surely surprise with amazing views of Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag etc. Arrive at open Meadow for Camping.
Overnight at Kedarkantha Base.
Day 4
Trek to Kedarkantha Summit & Descend to Hargaon (Altitude 11250 to 12500 ft to 8900 ft - 6 kms, 7 Hours)
After Heavy Breakfast move for Kedarkantha Summit. The climb is quite Steep but of course with rewarding Views. The distance to the summit is not long but is reasonably steep and walking on snow makes it more tiring and time-consuming. You get to see all the mountains of the Yamunotri and Gangotri range and also of Kinner Kailash range and other ranges in Himachal. Post Lunch Descend down to Hargaon
Overnight at Hargaon.
Day 5
Hargaon to Sankri (Altitude of 8900 to 6400 ft - 6 kms, 4 hours)
Its time to reach Base Camp again. Descend of around 4 hours will reach Sankri Village. Evening at Leisure.
Overnight at Sankri.
Day 6
Sankri to Dehradun (220 kms, 10 Hours)
After Breakfast drive to Dehradun. Reach Dehradun around 7 pm.

Bhai Log just carry 2 joggers and 2 hoodies max with one inner and good shoes but carry 3-4 sockes pairs .(usually got wet )..and one plastic bag to carry wet clothes ..and one moisturizer thats it 😄....

I can’t give advice about adidas shoes but go for decathlon shoes it’s best & comfortable

@mohit please leave this concept that good shoes gives better grip in snow. All depends on technique. Soft ice slush black ice walking all need some basic technique. If you do not know these then all shoes will slip. You can use microspike to prevent slipping. Most imp pls donot carry so many cloths and other stuffs in trekking. Kederkantha is easy trek and potters are there to carry. If you go for long pls carry light. I have limited knowledge but from my 4 treks i know, carry quality products carry less. Carry light products like light down fleece light quick dry pants tshirts such stuff and not so many heavy stuffs. Saying from my exp from KK - to - pangarchulla.
