After seven years driving with green light flashing on light module and without automatic headlight leveling, i purchased diodes A4S on Aliexpress for several dollars, solder it for AHL module like you pointed on video and VOILA - auto leveling is here. And not just that: when cornering adaptive headlight moves left - right. Once again, thank you very much!

I know this is an old video, but i hope i will find some help here. So, i recently sent my headlights for repairs (everything was working fine they were just in terrible shape). The insides have been completely refurbished along with the wiring. When they came back and i reconnected them, the green dot started flashing and there was no movement from the headlights. After scanning the car with ISTA it showed AHL module as 0 faults and green. I can trigger them manually, but only up and down. On any other direction i'm getting "ERROR_ECU_GENERAL_REJECT". Tried to search it but found nothing of relevance. Any advice what to do? I forgot to mention that on the table AHL is working fine in every direction, so i doubt it's the headlights fault. EDIT: Car is E60.

You don't have the "box" because on LCI the module is integrated in the LM . I don't know what your problem could be only by guessing, you need to do a proper diagnose to the system.

If the EKPS it is working hot is possible that the in tank fuel pump is bad and it takes more amperage, you can see it with istaD

Hi Ovidiu! I have an e63 m6 with a light fault! It had water damage in one headlight, I’ve changed both smc modules and the headlights now do the “start up procedure” so both lights move up/down and right/left, so the system works. However, I still get this code “RSMC2 no communication with steppermotorbox right”. If you would spare a little time, any help from you on what might cause this will be highly appreciated! Thanks! 🙏🏼

Its RIght SMC , servo motor controller , seems something is wrong with the wiring that goes to SMC or the servo it self has failed , there is two in one headlamp.

Hi bro, he said very clearly in the clip. In case you set light to Auto: The Adaptive lights do not turn left when the bmw stopped. They assume you are pulling out into traffic and do not want to blind oncoming drivers (say when you are at a turn lane waiting to turn left) It's intentional: - The headlight move up and down only at startup to auto level. - It will turn/work both left and right only when you are in motion/on moving only (over 20-40km/h you can see more clearly) In case you set light to Maunal: The Adaptive lights will be deactived. The adaptive lights do not turn anyside even when bmw in stop or in motion.

Salut , daca ai becuri noi si tot sunt slabe farurile, va trebui sa inlocuiesti farurile sau doar lupele! degeaba schimbi becurile cu unele mai puternice deoare-ce nu te vor ajuta deloc din contra ii vei deranja pe toti ceilalti participanti la trafic!

Hi! What if my diode have .475V parameter? Is it not enough? I have E519 code error, there is no dynamic xenon function and self leveling. I cannot connect to adaptive lights module by INPA.

I had the same issue replaced ahl coded for car same issue replaced modules under lights same issue put original back in and factory reset the lcm with protools and all is working now probably could have used ista but that program is sometimes over my head but I do have it along with inpa. Funny thing is I could always move them with software but was getting a start up error that factory reset fixed it

Merge de pe consola centrala inchisa, in timpul mersului totul merge inafara de cheie, am doua la ambele aceasi problema. la una am schimbat si bateria si degeaba tot nimic.

if you have an error it's a problem in the headlight or in the control unit or by nature, you have to find someone who knows how to fix something like that and they will do it for you ... so with the opinions on the internet you won't be able to fix it

Buna Ovidiu. Vreau sa fac conversia la lămpile pe spate de la Pre LCI la LCI. Am cumpărat un modul de lumini la mâna a doua. Ce ar trebui sa modific in modulul LM2 ca sa funcționeze corect lămpile pe spate. Mulțumesc!

That is amazing but NOT an easy repair 😂😂 I have adaptive headlights fault but the dealership told me it was the AHL motors and not the module. They said I had to replace both headlights. They quoted me something like $5000 to replace both headlights. Do you think they’re right or just trying to rip me off?

Hi, unfortunately you are doing very wrong. how to ask on youtube if the repair estimate made by a dealer or someone is correct or not? how to know youtub or internet what problem your car has for starters. here you can see how it is repaired to understand how complex that car is built. So if you think that the diagnosis and estimation are made wrong, you can only find out by taking another specialist with your car to see if what the first dealer specified is really correct.

@@MOvidiu yes you’re right. Now the dealer is telling me that my LM is damaged too, because my brake lights are lighting up whenever I turn off the car. My car is an lci and the AHL module is integrated with the LM. Can broken AHL motor somehow damage the LM? Do I need to get the AHL issue fixed before getting a new LM?

@@ashtreylil1 yes I do. You should check the headlights first. In my case, the outer layer of the wires inside the headlights are destroyed, which is common in e60. That caused shorts, and thus shorting my LCM too. Some people have reported water ingress in their AHL module at the bottom of the headlight. I havent checked mine yet. And new headlights in Europe or USA are definitely not $5000. I live in Indonesia and the customs are crazy high. Also, they come with xenon and AHL modules and new bulbs. If yours are not damaged you can reuse the modules and bulbs and the total wont be $5000. Depending on the cause, you may not need to replace the whole headlights.

Do you know if I can buy the headlights and module and replace them myself without coding? It wasn't difficult to remove and replace.
