I believe 2Pac was geeked up after seeing that fight and hearing his song played during Mike Tyson’s entrance. He was on an adrenaline rush and acted on impulse. But 2Pac should have sat his narrow behind down somewhere and none of it would have happened. He knew what type of people he was dealing with and I hate that he didn’t have the proper guidance to realize what a gift he was to the society and chose the right path. But seeing how his Mother instilled hatred in him from the womb, he didn’t know how to control his rage, and SHE couldn’t teach him how to bcuz she couldn’t control her own. (R.I.P) Unfortunately 2Pac was looking for love and a Father figure fell into the hands of some sinister people but really wasn’t about that life. But when evil goes unchecked it wrecks havoc on all those who choose to do its biddings. Nobody won in this entire situation, just a lot of heartache and blood shed all for nothing. Suge only gave out those Medallions to close associates. Puffy had a 5k bounty put out to any crip that snatched one of those medallions and brought it to him. Anderson had jumped Lane, and taken his medallion. The MGM incident was retaliation for that. This was confirmed and verified by the LVPD. So I believe the Puffy connection.

I personally think Anderson was the shooter. When the feds busted him the first time, and offered him the plea deal, initially the investigation was about Biggie's murder, not 2Pac's. This was because Biggie's family had a lawsuit put on the LAPD. Keefe told them "that wasn't us" but I got info on the Pac hit. That's when he confessed they were indeed the hit squad that took out 2pac. His confession happened back in 2008. By then, the other 3 occupants in the Cadillac had died already. If it was about deflecting blame, he could have pinned it on any of the dead ppl. Instead, he said it was Orlando. Either because it's true, or because he wanted to give Orlando the street credit and legend of being the killer of 2pac. 🤷‍♂️ the latter only he knows.
