Thank you!! Brett for this series explaining in depth all this pedal can do and what each knob can do in all the various positions. They tried in the manual, but its its just too complex of a pedal...I needed these vids! This pedal was put back on my shelf for a bit as I had become too frustrated with all the nuances. I did make my own (much easier to see) labels as the stock ones are virtually invisible even close up. I showed this pedal to my young nephew and even he had to hold it close up to see the markings. Also added some color coded knobs for low lighting conditions, or on the fly adjustments. I almost sold this pedal prior to finding your vids. You're the best at what you do....Thanks! PS. this pedal is mainly for home or studio / recording....a dark stage is a bit of a nightmare unless using few settings and don't bump it !

Hello Brett!! I have to say that it does a good job of emulating the Univibe with out the photo cells!

May I assume all the official production models have blue leds? (In your other demos you started with red leds)

Love your Videos Brett. You are One of The Best on You Tube. This pedal sounds hot. Like Jimi Hendrix in box. I have noticed that you Always keep your Prized "Cornet Fuzz" on the Bottom Shelf ( right behind you ). Its a Shame that Sho Iwata in Japan is So Difficult to contact - to order that Smooth Creamy Fuzz. - Michael Caz - NYC -

Ah, I'll never not enjoy the sound of a univibe. Just has something about it...

+davidwantsahug A man after my own heart! I've owned a Roger Mayer Voodoo-Vibe for over twenty years and still find that sound incredibly inspiring!

***** I loved it and only ever really heard it in rock/psychedelia until I heard 'Mediocre Bad Guys' by Jack Johnson and fell in love with it even more. Go & have a listen!

***** Cheers. I'll check that out. 'Shores of White Sand' by Emmylou Harris has some nice understated warblings that compliment her vocal delivery perfectly.

+Kevin Betts cool song! I'm pretty sure the vibe on that Jack Johnson song is being used on an acoustic guitar. Either that or it's double tracked.
@kevinjohnbetts8 жыл бұрын
***** Could be. To me it sounded like a very clean Strat through a Fender amp. Or similar. Possibly one with an acoustic pickup recorded on a separate track at the same time. But given the way studio engineers can mic up and DI a guitar signal even before any kind of digital manipulation you could be absolutely correct. Or we may both be way off the mark! :D Thanks for the Jack Johnson recommendation, he's not an artist I would normally listen to but the way the univibe sound is used makes it interesting. :)
