I have to say, I've only recently begun to really explore the world of non-distortion/OD pedals, and as someone who doesn't exactly have pitch perfect hearing (or really any hearing above or below about 600Hz), your demos are perfect. I'm the kind of person who cranks everything to 10, strums a few chords, picks a few licks, cranks everything down to 1, repeat... and sometimes I still can't tell any difference. Somehow when you turn a "presence" knob 1/64th of a turn, it'll sound like a completely different rig. Thanks!

This pedal is quite attractive and it really reawakens Gilmour's tone. Obviously it is not the same but I guess the company's aim was to redefine his tone rather than capturing it.
@jazminsoros27277 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree!
@kittikaposvari92097 жыл бұрын
Well, I guess the aim was to create something new but bearing Gilmour's original tone in mind. I think it would be redundant to create a multi-effect pedal packing all the original small units into it. The Dark Side is rather a neo-vintage pedal.

I'm with ya Brother...everytime the subject of a piece of gear (even strings) is mentioned or she sees me looking at something; "It's the same old story...Same old song n dance". I've been threatened with...everything except breaking the next piece of gear that comes into the house. She's never gone so far as to threaten to damage or break any guitars or gear though...I'll give her credit that. I still hear about the 2 guitars purchased during the past 8 yrs...the most expensive was under $1,500...the other under 900...even the 1 that was a gift from my Mom. I had a 6 and a 12-string acoustic when we met and were married 36-1/2 yrs ago. She knew I wrote and was passionate about writing and playing so really...what did she expect?...For me to just walk away from it because we were married and had children at the time? Our youngest has been gone and married 6yrs now with 3 children of his own. She's told me, "If you made some money by selling some of your songs; I wouldn't mind if so much but there's nothing coming back from the stuff you buy." Let's do the math... Guitars + gear= Inspiration Inspiration + Creativity= Music &/with Lyrics (Songs) Songs + Opportunity = $$$ When they're relatable to the listener Makes perfect sense to me...How about you?...No guitars & gear, not much else can happen except the idea for some lyrics...it can't go beyond an idea though. Hang in there Brother
