Just bought one....takes pedals so good, insane bottom end (if you want it) from a 1x10 combo. And it is so LOUD it belies its 25w rating. Trust me, it gives my Friedman Smallbox 50 a run for its money!

Takes pedals in the front like a champ, has an effects loop, stand alone bass and treble instead of just a "tone knob (I'd like to know what the parameters actually adjust), master volume, punchy and articulate 10 inch speaker and my favorite part... It is affordable for on the road musicians! I talk about about affordability with a lot of folks and I hear "you pay for excellence". While that is true, should excellence only sit on an amp stand in a large downtown office or a posh den in the suburbs or should it be available on the stages that nurture our quest for our new favorite song? Without a doubt, Robert Keeley is the working musicians best bud. He is humble and approachable, all the while fighting to make sure we have the tools that we need to do our jobs. Thanks Mr. Keeley, you are very much appreciated.

My Supro 1600"s 10 inch speaker pushes air like a shotgun, yet stays balanced. works beautiful with the cab design. A while back I got a Keeley Caverns and discovered this amp takes this pedal beautifully, so I wasn't surprised when Mr. Keeley and Supro teamed up later on. I put a NOS Mullard 12au7 I got from Upscale Audio in one of it's Vs and a current production Genelex Gold Lion 12ax7 in the other. The array of tonescapes I can get with this rig for just about any need is simply amazing . Not just useful , but beautiful too.

I think I just found a new best friend for my White Sands, my Filaments, my Germanium Oxblood, Super Retro Germanium Phat Mod, Germanium Ecstasy, Black Glass, Sfocato, etc. ad nauseum… Of course I’ll have to keep my Caverns V2, my Memphis Sun, my Abby Chamber, Vibe O Verb, Mesmer Astral, etc. "in the loop" about this new friendship. Awesome price! At $799 US you could buy two 1970RKs and run them after the stereo out of the 30ms. Thank you Supro, thank you Robert Keeley!

Whenever Supro release a product, I get excited, their pedals and amps especially. I've wanted a Comet since it was reissued a few years ago. I do like other amp designs-I love how dry and meaty Matamps are, how squishy and woody Fender Tweed amps are, how barky Marshall Super Leads are-but when I discovered Supro, I dug 'em instantly. It had that exploding amp sound of the Tweed, but it was rounder. It had the meat of a Matamp or a Hiwatt, but it was sweeter and not so dry. It was basically what I dig about Fryette amps, but more 'vintage' sounding and fewer features. Fryette have been my favourite amp designers for years now, but I always wanted something simpler and less refined. Supro fits that bill pretty nicely. The Comet sounded the best to me, but I just haven't had the money to drop on one. The new-ish 1606 reissue is nice and affordable, but this 1970RK, it's almost perfect. I would have preferred a 15w output power, but I don't think it'll make much difference. This could easily be my next amp. Thanks so much for getting the price so low.

Am I crazy or does tremolo always sound better when it's built into the amp as opposed to pedals? I've had a ton of tremolo pedals over the years, but whenever I get an opportunity to play a Princeton or Rambler or even Excelsior, I'm blown away by those rich, 3dimensional trem sounds ...

Robert - great choice partnering with Supro. I am more of a collector than player and only recently set my sights on the Supro line. Great cleans. I have the 1650 Royal Reverb 210 Combo. Looks great sitting in my home office and again, the cleans sound amazing. Unfortunately this particular model had problems with its gain stage and rectifier tubes. The newer model, the one I have has that great Supro cleans but no gain. Disapointed about that - If you have any OD pedals suggestions I'm all ears - Thanks.

A amp designed for OD & chorus and anologe delay pedals is a tone machine waiting to be played ! My Laney VC -30 watt amp is similar with great tone but the FX loop is designed for rack mount equipment that is higher ohms than pedals and sounds bad with pedals ! At volume 7 its power tubes begin to breakup beautifully at stage volume but that FX loop holds it back from being versitle !

No, even today May2, 2022 the Supro 1970RK is $999. However the Supro 1968RK with a 12" G12M-65 Creamback speaker is $1,299 (it's essential a Supro 1070RK with a 12" G12M-65 Creamback speaker instead of the Supro CR 10" speaker.

I thought I was a Fender guy until I got this amp. Even though I love my 68 custom deluxe the Keeley Custom just sounds so much sweeter. My Strat and Tele just sound, well better though this amp. It's all in the mids and this amp has them by the bucketload.

I just sent you a message on the Keeley site about this amp. Very disappointed with the effects loop - everything clips using the loop. Even the Verb o' Trem is clipping in that loop. One comment online advised that this was due to the signal coming out of the preamp being too hot. The only way to tame that was with a JHS Little Black Amp Box. You and Supro should team up with JHS and try this again.

I made the mistake of buying a Fender Hot Rod Delux. It's a great amp but much too loud for what I need and doesn't really have a good "driven" tube sound. The wife probably won't have a problem if I buy this.

Really bad quality check…..the master volume stopped working after 30 minutes. Designed in US and assembled in China….😨 doesn’t seem to be a great idea. Got shipped back after one day.
