Yes, on the nose. I grew up in a family frozen by traumatic events, and their idea of dealing with it was to close ranks. Unfortunately it enabled the victimizer to continue victimizing other innocents in the family. And denial continued. While family elders claimed they were protecting the victims, they just allowed the abuse to continue. All in the vain hope nobody outside the family would see the horror going on, and judge the parents harshly. What would the neighbors think. Not realizing they were probably going through something similar. Child abuse is rarely reported. Check the statistics, and multiply by at least 10 to 30%. Even then I suspect it's closer to 50%. I've been listening to your readings for just over a year now and I can categorically say that it's like listening to s true friend: you are authentic compassionate and insightful. After we were married his family came out of the closet and I immediately wanted a divorce but I decided to give the marriage a chance because by that time I was pregnant. You are correct that I know what secrets that family is keeping. He is so scared that everyone will know what his mother and stepfather done to him and many other things. I had an apartment when I was with him, this 3rd party was suppose to " have a house" but it was not hers as she made people believe. This " house was in a gang invested area and this 3rd party "gets around". This 3rd party went to my daughter's primary school and told them that she is my daughter's mother. My daughter was 5 years old at the time and the primary school immediately put the school on lockdown and called me. Thank God the school did not give my child to this crazy toxic woman. This 3rd party was thrown out of court everytime I had to go to court because she doesn't want to understand that a mistress should know her place. This 3rd party even harassed my family members. I bought a house after I decided to divorce him in a very good area. I know this upsets his family and the 3rd party because this family thinks that if I divorce him I must give him half of the house. That won't happen 💯. I think he knows this 3rd party will do something at my house or to my daughter because she has sent people to my house already and has tried to get into my house but I stopped them and him with the courts. He dragged my daughter through the court system for custody of her and this took years with my daughter having to go to court because of all the lies he was saying about me. Eventually I was given full custody of my daughter and he and his family and this 3rd party were found to be unfit to be around my daughter. Now because he has no custody or visitation rights to my daughter he is dragging my divorce out and blaming me for wrapping him in " red tape" when it comes to my daughter. He done it to himself because of his actions with this 3rd party he lost his daughter. This is his karma. I don't feel sorry for him sitting with all that toxic people around him because I told him that I've forgiven him but I don't want him around my daughter or me. He wanted to be the head of his siblings because he is the first born son in the Moslem religion and my daughter and I are not Moslem. So I set him free to be there and I can honestly say my daughter is raised with values and morals and that is something I know he does not have or anyone he is around. I married a lie but I know I'm blessed to have what I have in my life and looking at my daughter and seeing her become the best version of herself and growing into such a wonderful caring honest and strong young lady is my biggest blessings. He does not fit into our lives but he fits perfectly with his toxic family friends and 3rd party. I would never of married him if I had known and seen his family before I married him. We come from different religions which was not a problem for me even the different backgrounds was not a problem for me but when he started acting like the background he comes from that was the end for me
