I was wondering if ReoLink would eventually put their foot into the hunting game. I think the market is wide open for this. The cost is comparable to cellular trail cameras. Soon the big names in trail camera will have similar products! Great review.

I bought the same camera and a Verizon SIM card and of course it wouldn't work so I just ordered the Eiot card to see if those work? Hopefully everything works , thanks for all the info!

Nice review! Thanks! I didn’t notice if you showed the zoom feature. The site says 16x digital zoom. How well does that work? How far is the camera useful for game evaluation or people identification across an open field or large food plot? Thanks again!

Hey J thanks for the positive feedback! The zoom functionality is pretty much a pinch and zoom (like on your phone). I don’t know that you’d be able to get super clear image quality from across a food plot. I’m also not sure about the detection at that distance. That’s something I will be incorporating into my trail cam reviews next year. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful!

If it has direct sun 4-6 hrs a day or will stay charged. Mine in western Washington have been out for a year.

Hey Jack, thanks for checking out my channel! It records video, but there is a camera icon that you can press during video playback and it saves a snapshot as an image right to your phone’s camera roll.

Im considering one but im unsure of how much data i need . I want to use it for more less setting up feeders to get a idea lf where pigs are coming in at usually they have a pattern and run a game trail at least at our property. Im thinking 1 of these to scout areas and 2 normal cellular cams for permanent feeders . If you temporarily had this on a feeder what kind of data would it use up .i assume the the process of the notification being sent uses data then you have the option to go live? Or does it automatically record a vid or do you have to activate it within the app?

Hey Nathan! It’s always tough to figure out how much data you would need. If you have it set on a feeder I imagine it would use quite a bit. The photos and videos will record when triggered and you can view them in the app. You can also jump in live when you get a notification that the camera is triggered, so that’s pretty cool. I think I would go through that 2 gig really quick with it taking 2.7 k video. Might be alright for just pics but that seems pricy for 2 gigs of video.

Does video blur with you running at night. Is video 2k or is it 470 resolution. It was not that clear.

Hey Jerry, thanks for watching! I didn’t try the run-through at night, but I noticed the video isn’t as clear as it is during the day (which is typically the case for all cameras). This shoots in 2k, but I believe you can adjust the video quality settings.
