@@Chrism7178 Keenan is smooth, he runs routes like a pro and so smart. He fakes DB's out all the time. He was running down field like to go deep and catch a pass and the DB was chasing after him with Herbert following right behind the DB. It was hilarious! Keenan could see Herbert was taking off on the run and just kept baiting the DB into following him. Always great stuff.

2 things: -wins are not QB stats. -play calling is what is holding the chargers back. Being passive and not aggressive. That might mean running the ball more second half to set up play action but either way, coaches are getting paid millions it their job to figure out a way to be competitive late in games
@jkehoe100
@jkehoe100 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. And if you listen to Keenan, exactly what he said. “You do you”. Philip Rivers didn’t let the coach decide games for him.
@anthonychilds8193

I think the Chargers weakness is their coaching. I listen to a lot of games and they start hot and then go silent and opposing teams routinely come back and make it close or, like they so candidly discuss, overtake Chargers late. The coaching seems to be great at opening play scripts and very bad at handling the opposing team's adjustments as well as mentally conditioning Chargers players to hold steady when it seems the game is slipping from their grasp. Coaching. Kellen Moore SHOULD be able to correct a lot of those dead zones in Chargers' offensive games.

You are right. I live in Atlanta. Last year, the Chargers were running the ball on 3rd and 4th and short against one of the worse secondaries in the entire NFL. Unfortunately, the Falcons forced them to pass to win the last 5 minutes, as they did against New England in the SB with a similarly bad secondary. Herbert didn't throw one incompletion during a drive where they only ran once run once (and fumbled) sothey won. Who scouted Atlanta?

Joe Lombardi cost the Chargers that Jags Wildcard game. All 2022 season, 18 games, the Chargers scored a total of 45 pts in the 3rd quarter. That is a pathetic average of 2.5 pts per 3rd quarter. For an offensive coordinator to allow that to happen coming out at halftime throughout a season, including a playoff game, is firing fodder fo sho!

My God, Philly already had a great roster, not only have they improved it ,but now Aaron Rodgers has gone to the Jets, when you look around the NFC Jalen Hurts is the only Elite QB in the entire conference. If Jalen Hurts stays healthy it's hard to bet against the Eagles winning the NFC again. Dallas Cowboys and San Fran 9ers gonna both have great rosters but their are big doubts over their QB's. People have finally realized what I've said all along, that Dak's not a top QB, imo Dak's around the same level as Kirk Cousins which is very average, he moves/runs better than Cousins but Cousins' is a better pocket passer. As for Purdy, he was really good for the 9ers when he came in but it was a small sample size and he wasn't asked to do anything amazing, and now there are question marks over his health, we don't even know if Purdy will be the starting QB or whether Trey Lance is gonna be the guy. It's just weird how all the top QB's have ended up in the AFC leaving the NFC wide open for someone to make a SB run, Tom Brady's probably looking at it thinking he could have a chance....I mean Jared Goff is quite literally top 5 in the NFC... Crazy, Crazy, Crazy!

It’s the coach saleh and Staley got hired same time. La had a better record and better team compared to New York. the jets ended up with a better defense but if you look at the names on each defense everyone picks the chargers. Imagine Herbert on the Jets last year. Which team would of had a better record?? It’s the coaching if Salah was coaching the chargers with all those weapons on defense, they would’ve went farther guaranteed. They could’ve got Sean Payton but they let him go this year. Guaranteed. They are going to be third in the division and going to fire Staley typical chargers.

I still can’t believe that Herbert/Keenan blew a 27/3 halftime lead to the Jaguars 🐆. In the playoffs 😢 some people wonder 💭 is the NFL is deceiving people. Because of the point spread and gambling. Because imagine all the money 💴 chargers fans including me lost on that game?

When a player say's a agent does not do much had a shity agent. Had he had a good agent he would of got out of Baltimore like he wanted. He got stuck and Baltimore got stuck with him. Because of that injury bug, I think he will be a bust. 31 teams passed on him.

Staley was touted by the LA media as a "Defensive Genius," he had peak Aaron Donald. Donald would have had me looking like a defensive genius.

Everyone is questioning what went wrong. It was the offensive coordinator. I’d trust a blind monkey to draw up better plays then joe Lombardi.
