lol Victor Honorio, an absolute beast who has faced and beaten some of the best, gets submitted and you guys are calling it boring. First people complain about point fighting. Then a sub happens and you still complain. Just say you hate Keenan. BTW slamming would have gotten him subbed quicker. Go watch MMA and complain about that too.

Not at all! Respect the game and recognise what youre witnessing! Victor brought the blekbelt bigboy smesh and keenan dealt with it by threatening and then delivering two filthy omoplatas. Dive into the intricacies of each match of any sport and you'll find any game is exciting, really. *not to mention the no-slammie

No keenan did what he had to do against a fat guy who wants to just sit in guard and play tight...takes a bit of time to work against someone like that but he was attacking the whole time. Fatty is the staller..he does it in every match i've seen. Hate that style of jiu jitsu.

if a guy picks you up like that....they should start changing the rules making him give up his grips or position...
@asdfkhieee6 жыл бұрын
or just let him slam, but at brown, and black belt only. Don't need white belts running around slamming each other thinking thats how the game is played.
@pendejo64666 жыл бұрын
Or the guy could just break grips.
@asdfkhieee6 жыл бұрын
Pendejo lets see you break Keenan Cornelius's grips. Good luck kid.
@pendejo64666 жыл бұрын
That's my point child: just because you can't impose your game, will, and technique on your opponent doesn't mean the rules should change--it means you should get better.
@asdfkhieee6 жыл бұрын
Look son these guys are at the tippy top of the game. Getting better isn't really a thing at that point. If you are at 99.9999999999999% effective getting to 99.99999999999999% effective doesnt really change anything. Letting black belts slam would promote a more dynamic match and stop some of the stalling techniques.
@MrTresto6 жыл бұрын
I think they should make it a rule that if you stall for too long (say, 5-10 sec) while hanging on the a guy, you should just let go of your grips. It's just ridiculous. And also not allow hands in the pants / butt cheeks like the Miyao brothers do, that's just ridiculous too ...
@nemdenemam97536 жыл бұрын
They should allow slams or something. This just ridiculous. Realistically the guys lost there when he was hanging off another man like a bag. Guys got KOd from thateven in rings let alone in real fighting where it originates from. Otherwise its not much better than pointfighting karate
@nemdenemam97536 жыл бұрын
so maybe dont use techniques that are so disadvantegous that you risk injury. I mean you can but then again it gets close to point fighting karate if you take away the essence of martial arts. Also there are plenty of old judokas who are not paralyzed. Yes thats why I watch mma fights because this is just crazy. It diminishes the fighting style and makes it more of a chess game rather than a martial art if they allow stuff like that. Have it worth minus points or something. There is already different scores for more advantegous positions. Or dont what do I care I barely watch it. But maybe those who organize this stuff care.
@kimalcalde7086 жыл бұрын
Michael Gunn well said this mofos cant understand
@pendejo64666 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they should allow stomps and ground & pound.
@nemdenemam97536 жыл бұрын
Well yeah I think boxing should allow clinching but the others are obviously ridiculous. Allow the moves that makes sense in that fighting style. Martial arts get bastardized this way. Thats why you can barely find a good karate school nowadays because if you want to be a good karate school with income you need to go to competitions and in competitions there are ridiculous rules that propagate unrealistic fighting. Hence karate schools lost what used to make it an effective self defense system. All martial arts should keep self defense in sight imo. And these forms that take one aspect of fighting (boxing, grappling) should place more emphasis on teaching techniques that translate better to other forms of fighting. If we take them as only a sport then yes you are right it doesnt really matter what the rules are. Just win within the confines of it. However I think with martial arts there is a different plane to consider too. Which is how it will affect the self defense aspect of the sport. Jiu jitsu point system already has it. They award different points to position based on how dangerous they would be in a fight. If no slams then just give minus points for something like this.
