Every time I have gone to Cuba in last 5 trips, I gave away to the locals, what my trip has cost me, If I spend $6000 on myself I Give away $6000 to them, its hard not to feel bad for people that don't have access to the opportunities you and I have. so why not ! I enjoy your videos, very good.

Mr. Jefferson still has a gleam in his eye and a smile. That is hope regardless of the situation. The cane juice is a pleasant refreshment for us and Cubans. But it and the cane stalk itself that you see poor people chewing is an artificial high in nutritional terms. The chica featured at the street party and her friend (?) look like the 2 you meet on Calle Obispo, SI ? Daughter or Mother - you should read Mi Motto Fidel by Christopher Baker. As he travels Cuba for a guide book company he writes of his personal adventures. Thank you for another very good slice-of-life video.

@@KeenanLambert198 2 / 2 Thanks you so much for sharing the title songs, brother. To be honesty , I'm presently contemplating a visit to the enchanting land of Cuba, largely due to the immense inspiration I've drawn from the mesmerising content featured in your videos. I've eagerly devoured every single one of them, and they have truly left me spellbound. However, a particular concern continues to occupy my thoughts - the language barrier. I find myself pondering how I might effectively engage in communication with the local residents, especially the mature ladies whom I have a fondness for. Regrettably, my grasp of the Spanish language is nonexistent. I must admit, your effortless interactions with the charming ladies in your videos left a lasting impression on me. One scene, in particular, stood out - the moment you engaged in a delightful conversation with a lady seated along the bustling street, the one who provided you with directions while wearing a vibrant bam short. Your ability to connect with people in such a genuine manner is truly commendable. Please continue your outstanding work, and if you happen to have any advice or insights on bridging the language gap, especially when seeking to interact with the lovely ladies of Cuba, I would greatly appreciate your wisdom. Warm regards Chewe

It looks like some websites recommend changing a small about US$50 - US$100 first since shows also accept Euros / US$. How much CUP would you recommend changing for about 1 week? Thanks Dandy

Hi Dandy…. Change your money little by little… Do not change large amounts… They do accept USD and Euros pretty much everywhere but you get far more bang for your buck when you change informally…. You should only spend $100 a day maximum. Once you reach pro levels in Havana you can have a blast on $10-15 a day… I have a guy that can help you with currency…. With him you can exchange a large amount…. Hit me up on IG for his contact #

Hi Gemma, Okay, I have some baseline questions.... Are you an American Passport holder? If so know that you will have a 30 day limit on your tourist card/visa for Cuba. Cuba is a little difficult for the young ones. The beach will be good and maybe a few museums. The television is in Spanish and VERY political. Callejon de Hamel on Sunday's in Cayo Hueso.... Varadero might have a little more appeal...

Jefferson is an interesting name for a Cuban, is he descended from West Indians? Jefferson mentioned , likely the era before the revolution, when many Jamaicans and or West Indians lived in Cuba to work on companies like the United Fruit Company. Many of these people stayed in Cuba where they were Anglican and Patois/English speaking, but it is dwindling as they've lost touch with their family, and children are reluctant to learn the language. Still today, if you follow Cuban athletes such as their legendary boxers, you may find individuals with names of markedly non-Latin origin like " Kevin Brown, Nelson Williams, Teofilo Stevenson"
@KeenanLambert198 Жыл бұрын
Yessssss….. That’s exactly why I asked if his family was from Jamaica… The United Fruit Company was very active in shuttling people from the English speaking Caribbean to agricultural set ups in the Caribbean Basin. For that reason, I want to go to Santiago or Banes to see what’s left of the West Indian culture.
