Classification is key to fine recovery. Hope see this at the Phoenix Gold Show next month.

Wife bought me an A-52 back in 2005 , use it just about every weekend and it’s still going strong, I’m interested in getting your leg stand setup , that’s bad azz!

We should have the legs ready to go in a few weeks. As long as you have a drill and pop rivet tool you are in business. Just under a $100.00

I really like the leg mounts. Great feature. Time to upgrade to the A52s. Hope the price is right.
@KeeneEngInc5 жыл бұрын
The legs system works amazingly well. The price is not cheap probably around $100. All the parts are aluminum, steal and there is water jetting, machining and welding etc. More labor than we like however the product is very robust and I should last a lifetime if you take care of it.

Where is the shovel made?
@hound4u9374 жыл бұрын
I would raise the mesh higher over the sluice box. That would wash the rocks better and allow gold to quickly fall down when you first feed the sluice box.

Very interesting guys. Miner moss?.
@KeeneEngInc5 жыл бұрын
I have mixed feelings about miners moss in this sluice. Miners moss works great in larger boxes. The combination of the green ribbed carpet working with the expanded metal works really well in this box. Miners moss under the smaller expanded metal can expand upwards and take out the back eddy of the riffle. I really like the combination of the carpet and expanded metal, together they are very forgiving on water fluctuation to much or not enough water etc. There is a lot of talk about rubber rifle these days and they work great in perfect conditions. We even have a section of miracle matting that works amazing on the flower gold however you have to be careful not to disturb it too much. We are going out tomorrow for a new round of testing. Hopefully not so cold and rainy.

How deep in the water is optimum for running the sluice and how often should you do a clean out?
@KeeneEngInc5 жыл бұрын
The speed of the water determines the depth of a sluice box. Fast water you may only be a few inches deep. In slower water conditions the sluice can be completely under water. I use a simple technique I will grab a handful of rocks, golf ball size rocks and drop them into the head of the sluice. The rocks should roll through the sluice not blast out or just sit there roll through end over end.

Nice trowel for MD'ing but that would wear out too fast for sluice feeding. And anyways 99% of sluice digging is with a real shovel or the smaller steel shovel . In the video it's like 4-5 small scoops compared to a single full size shovel scoop. I like the idea and this comes close to what I would want. But. One thing about the sluice is it would be nice if the silly rubber mat extended further upstream so when in prospecting mode you can see the gold, find a good streak and then go into mining mode slamming shovel fulls into the sluice. Also some carrying strap rungs would be nice. For full on river/stream mining mode I still use my chopped up sluice box off my 3" circa 1975 Keene dredge

Level3-RC If you take a good close look at the equipment you will find that it is all American made products with a lot of quality engineering and testing involved. When I hear comments like yours it just makes my blood boil. Just for an example if you look at the legs we have a heavy-duty aluminum bracket with over 10 holes for mounting to the box and positioning the legs. There is 5 different setting for the legs. This is all done on a water jet machine. The brackets are water jetted drilled tapped welded and plated the legs are cut welded and plated the hardware is all quality the legs cost us over $100.00. The screen is not some simple bent piece of punch plate aluminum. There are aluminum welded side rails woven wire screen with a welded frame around it even the front screen has individual rods welded in place again this is not a cheap part to make. The riffle board is also three different designs that are a lot of extra work. So next time you make a derogatory comment against any company you should at least do your homework.

THAT SLUICE IS WAY TOO LOW. YOU'RE LOSING A LOT OF GOLD. THAT WATER FLOW IS TOO FAST. IF ANY FLAKE GOES THROUGH IT WON'T HAVE TIME TO DROP. YOU NEED TO WATCH MASSEY,S VIDEO ON PANNING, SLUICING AND HIGH BANKING. HIS WATER FLOW WAS LIKE A 3RD THE FLOW MAYBE LESS. ITS NOT A SUBMARINE. THE WATER NEEDS TO SLOWLY FLOW THROUGH IT. THATS HOW I RUN MINE. THE SAME AS HE DOES.
