Hey Diana! As I mentioned in the video, there is no public connection between your personal profile and your business page. However, business pages are public on the internet so your friends will be able to see it if they discover it - but again, they won't know it's from you unless you tell them.

Great video love the delivery energy! Problem I have is if I log in in my personal account I can switch my business account on the top left. But when I post while on my business account it shows my personal account. I can't seem to separate them it as if its hinged to it somehow.

Thank you so much for the video Jerry and I apologize if this has been asked and answered 100 times in the 700 comments! I created a business page. I go to the business page and want to comment on someone else's business page as my business. I search for their page and when I get there to create a post it has gone back to my personal profile so my post will show my name, not my business name. Other businesses post on that page so I know it is possible but I can't figure out how to post on their page as my business. There is no drop down in the post area to change my identity back to my business page. I want to post on a Chamber of Commerce page that allows businesses to post on their page. Thank you!

I think they are phasing this tool out, but if it's still there for you, there should be a down-arrow on the right side of the posting box where you can decided who to post as.

Thank you for offering good content like you always do. I am looking into the Facebook Facelift digital product you have, but I have an immediate question. My first attempt to keep personal and business FB pages separate was to clumsily create a second page. That worked for a while until FB asked me to provide govt ID. Not comfortable with that and fearing a scammer, I fumbled and got the account locked out. I worked to get 5,000 "friends" there. Some of them I can drive to my business page, but the FB appeal process is tricky. Any advice?

Unfortunately I don't have any magic solution. Your best bet is to invite the people that were your "friends" to like the new page and hope they do. For future reference: You can actually turn a personal profile into a business page, and all the friends become Likes: facebook.com/help/175644189234902/

No, but you can just stop using your personal page. Unfriend everyone. Then it's just the login to control your business page.

Thank you for your video. You are very knowledgeable. I have been the administrator of a FB page that is for a spiritual center for a number of years. I’ve been asked by a member for the password in order to go FB Live for the weekly services. She’s in some administrative capacity, although I don’t recall which. I wouldn’t even mind stepping down from the administrator role but do I need to pass on my personal FB password and then change it? If they message your page and you reply, you reply as your business page. If you message them from a comment on your page, same thing. Does that make sense?

Hey there thanks so much for helping us out. Do you know how to fix the messenger glitch/pop-up "select an account" which has a choice between a personal page and business page BUT doesn't accept the choice made no matter how many times it's chosen? I've force stopped, deleted, cleared cache, cleared data, upgraded, etc but nothing helps. I cannot figure out how to stop the pop-up. It began about two weeks ago. Unfortunately that's not part of Messenger for business pages. The great thing is there are tons of other video call solutions: FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Zoom, etc.

From what I can see Sandi, Messenger appointments will only link with Google Calendars. So you'll need to sync your Google calendar with your Outlook calendar. Hi Jerry, I have Personal and my Music Business Page - The personal page, in addition to family and personal friends, also has business friends and followers - The business page also has friends & followers. I would like to make the two pages separate somehow ?? by moving the business friends and followers to the business page. How do you suggest I can do this?

Thank you for your video, but how do I stop my personal name showing when I am adding a post on a business page. I have several pages I run and only want the post to say 'post by' the business name rather than mine?

Great question Laura! Only other people who have access to the pages (admins, editors, etc.) can see that. The general public can't see the "Post by" note. Have a friend go to your page from their account and take a look.

I have a music page and a personal page with the same name. Every show I play a new fan will ask if I can accept their FB request because they can't find my music page. FB doesn't allow me to change my personal page name and the search never brings my music page up. They try James Cook Music and it still shows my personal page. I don't want them to see my personal page when they search. How to do I direct them to my Music Page.

I created a business page. Question on posting on someone else's personal profile as my business page. I understand post has my personal name. But can I block business post from posting to my personal FB. I use my personal FB for family and don't really want to mix it with business.

Hey. Can i keep my personal profile account and business page name same or i should keep them different? e, Can i keep my pf account name as "ECO" and business page as "nature"? I am quite confused so please advise me
