I don't think anyone should be "disappointed" in Megumi. He never said bringing down Sukuna was a priority. He has never shown a particular desire for revenge - the one time he did he dismissed it - why? His sister. Megumi only agreed to become a sorcerer because of Tsumiki. Megumi asks Yuji at the start of the Culling Games arc to save him, but what people forget is the 2nd part of that plea...which is that "saving him" means saving Tsumiki. Tsumiki is dead. Megumi has no family. He was subject to the bath which did god knows what to him, subject to getting hit by Unlimited Void in order to help Sukuna kill Gojo...which he did. And let's not forget all that shit that happened to him before that. People seem to mistake Megumi for Yuta and Yuji. These people are not the same. They do not have the same priorities, the same breaking points. To me, Megumi saying "enough" (ignoring the fact he is lucky to be able to say anything after soul-tanking Unlimited Void), is not disappointing, it is the only reaction I would believe outside of incoherent rambling.

Couldn't have said it better myself, Trauma affects everyone differently. Megumi has been completely alone for a month with nothing but his own self hatred. It isnt something you can just get over, just like real clinical depression its illogical and even with support from friends the thought of "I should die." Doesn't go away. Calling someone like that a loser just feels cruel. Honestly, the lack of empathy I've seen from this fandom is just, sad.

Part of the tragedy of Tsumiki is that she did end up as a plot device as she was never actually awake during the main events of the story. So you lose out on the impacts beyond the fact that a ton of JJK characters have great initial introductions, even if after a while it turns into a Walking Dead situation where the audience knows it's just a list of characters that need to die in a specific order. The deaths themselves have impact but the world as a whole forgets the characters that die for the most part, just like Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. So the tradeoff is nice as it is a difference in manga as most popular manga don't do the character sacrifice to have their villains be impactful.

It just dosen't feel right calling someone like Megumi a loser. He was submerged in concentrated negativity and forced to kill his sister yes, but unlike Yuji whos almost always had someone to be there for him Megumi has had nothing but his own self hatred for the past month. Total isolation, then add in Unlimited void and youve got a traumatized broken kid. In the same way Yuji needed more from Todo then " Get up brother" Yuji needs to do even more then that and I believe that Yuji can do it. So I Think Megumi is fine physically. He shares his body and soul with Sukuna. Which means if Sukuna is okay so is Megumi. The only thing that is affecting him is his mind state. Angel had used the Jacobs ladder earlier in the series to separate the souls of the two, which I believe helped Megumi. So for him I believe it's all mental. Seeing all the deaths of his loved ones and his body doing it had to take a toll. But if the body is the soul and soul is the body, he will be fine. He just needs to find the resolve to keep fighting .

Even Yuji needed someone to pick him up at his Lowest during Shibuya. Gojo admitted sorcerers hav to be a little unhinged to function in that environment. Megumi's mental state makes sense for his arc. Megumi was seen as a tool by many, due to his inherited ability, while also dealing with neglect at a young age. He also had to take a back seat in killing his mentor, the guy who did accept him. The blood bath wud only amplify those negative emotions & we never see Yuji go thru that same ritual.

Why does it look like Maki is coming out of a shadow tho? Also the last couple of pages have a really confounding translation so I think it’s best to wait for Sunday.
