My mum ripped my earphone out of my ear while i was listening to this song, listened for a few seconds then handed it back saying "I don't know this artist but it's very nice". And since she knows very well about music, it's a nice compliment :D

Man, this is great. The references here such as the 'wings are wax' from Prometheus, chess, and more are rather smart yknow? The song's lyrics are noticeably directed to certain members of the SMP. More specifically, Dream, Technoblade, Slime and perhaps Wilbur. Dream is known for playing 'chess' right? Well, Quackity Wilbur has 'played this game' before (being the founder of L'manberg) Technoblade in Prometheus called Quackity Icarus, and Quackity here would be saying that despite his wings being made of wax, he built an entire city/country (Las Nevadas) at his back. Slime was known to be Quackity's heir, and the last lines are directed to Slime most likely, along with the line about not being able to take another burn (how Slime died) The lyrics here also reference events/locations as well. 'Broken symphonies' being L'manberg and its doomsday, The alarms blaring for the breakout. Id have more to say but eh. NICE WORK!

Ayyyy a quackity song! With all the usual KoE flair! The reference to wings of wax right out of the gate, aaaaaa the Prometheus callback ;-; And this sunrise motif is becoming quite the pattern in your songs, always cropping up to symbolize the hope of new beginnings (or lack thereof). Always a powerful reference back to the early days of the smp The way you shift who quackity is addressing throughout the song is brilliant. Quackity starts by talking to dream, taunting and lording his power over him Again, with Wilbur, quackity displays a need to get the upper hand and repay him for all the pain he caused him. The first two verses show an ugly side to quackity, driven by a need for control and a desire to get back at those who wronged him The beginning of the third verse seems to be quackity talking to himself, lamenting where he finds himself. But in the context of the last chorus, I think quackity is addressing slime :((((( Especially considering the line about burning and slime dying to lava, that would be so sweet but so heartbreaking 😭 This one verse hints that quackity still has the capacity for care, but now that slime is gone he needs to find a way to fill that void and keep himself alive. If I had to guess, it would be through through continuing the cycle of revenge What an epic addition to the babel has fallen playlist! And the art is amazing, it draws together all the aspects of interrogation, power imbalance, gambling, and loss that make up quackity’s character

Yeah, I couldn’t pass up the chance to add several Icarus references to this one :) I never actually thought about the second verse being sung at Wilbur, but that works so well! I love that interpretation now. And yes, the bridge was definitely him talking with Slime in his last moments. I wanted to bring the feels >:) Also, I’m glad you’ve picked up on the sunrise imagery: you’ve totally nailed its purpose. And it’s totally not gonna come up in the next song…
