Many Many Thanks I was/am the founder, leader, guitarist and one of three vocalists in The Gentrys. I sang this song "Keep On Dancin' "when I was 17. It was a number 4 hit record in September 1965. I am still performing and singing it today. I and all The Gentrys are honored and appreciate so much, your making our hit the soundtrack for this monumental, fun video. MOST OF ALL EVERYONE FROM HOLLYWOOD TO HOME LAND KEEP ON DANCIN' !!!

yep the Cold War was a gas boomertard. Nothing like US & Soviet Union just a hair trigger away from nuclear war & total end of the planet. And just in case you missed it the Vietnam War was moar fun. And helter skelter with the Charlie Manson family as they hacked & slashed to the beat of the times. Which included anti war movement & student protest across the nation including National Guard using the student body of Kent State for target practice. Nevermid political assasinations like JFK,MlK and RFK and George Wallace. And to top it off Watergate and 'I'm not a crook' tricky Dick Nixon.

Drew Pall, yep. Totally agree. Turbulant and controversial to say the least. We grew up losing so many of our young men in a war the govt knew was unwinnable to start with. Then our innocence with that war and murders of JFK, MLK and RFK. But considering the mess we are in today here in the US and the entire planet, it makes me long for those days if only we could grasp onto and hold the innocence we had if only for a moment in time. Just an old lady missing her youth, energy, health, dreams and hopes from back then I guess.😓☺❤👍 Thanks to KZbin and you all for letting me be like Peggy Sue (from the movie Peggy Sue Got Married) ..I'm just ramblin and picking thru my past I guess.❤☺👍🌻⚘ Blessings and peace and love to my fellow wanderers from back then. We sure survived a lot didn't we?

@@drewpall2598 thank you👍☺❤. My problem though is that the older I get and more depressed with current events, I tend to get stuck in my past memories and indulge in them more often which isn't a good thing either. I need to work harder on staying in the moment and remembering that that is truly all we have cause the past is gone and tomorrow isn't promised☺. After I responded to you yesterday I was also thinking about other tragedies and horrific things we lived thru back then including the Tate murders and Kent State. Back then we of course didn't have 24 hr news cycles (thankfully) and also things like that were still rare and extremely shocking to us. Sadly now, evil, horrific things have become all tok commonplace and we've become almost immune and oblivious to such news because we are banged over the head every second of every day with it. I'm continuing to work on staying in the present though and facing my older years head on so thank you for your positive comments and thoughts👍☺❤ Us "golden oldies" have survived much and I pray we will survive all the current craziness and evil in our country and world now. I pray we all will.👍☺❤. But to lighten the mood it's awesone we have GREAT music, movies/tv and memories from the past (cause I'm not much impressed with current so called music, movies, tv and "stars" of today) to make us smile and remember the good and happy times we lived thru. Makes my day to see comments from others here like you and others who like and appreciate the old stuff too and enjoy it. Sorry so lengthy again. Have a great weekend, you and everyone.☺ Everyone please be safe, healthy and keep on dancing. Even in the rain. Its good for the soul.

Eddie Applegate ("Richard Harrison") playing her boyfriend on the show, passed away at 81 before the end of 2016, a few months after both Patty and her tv father, William Schallert, who died 6 weeks after Patty (Mar. 29) on May 8, 2016. Jean Byron (the mom) died a few years earlier, so now Paul O'Keefe ("Ross", Patty's little brother on the show) is the sole remaining actor alive from the nucleus of that family. He is now 67 (Apr. 1951 birth).

+I Love bleach It's nostalgia; we forget that we have plenty of awful songs back in the 50's and 60's, we just don't remember any of them. And it was different back then; you could churn out and release lots of songs quickly. Today, you have to have a video to launch a song, so even the best artists only release a few song a year. I don't think you'll have a lot of people with half a dozen hits at the top of the charts like the Beatles did back then. There's still good music; just not as much of it.
