If I'm being honest with myself, I could pitch all of my foundations and keep MUFE Reboot Foundation - lightweight healthy dewy, light coverage Shiseido Synchro Skin Foundation - natural satin finish, medium buildable coverage, thin and easy to mix Etude House Lasting Serum Foundation - lightweight glossy, medium buildable coverage but easily sheered out Missha BB Cream - dewy moisturizing, medium to full coverage, SPF included My beloved Estee Lauder DW Light was discontinued and I've come to accept nothing will ever be quite as good, and I could manage with just those 4.

Omg not me!!! I cannot get rid of that many but I LOVE the Shisiedo one even thought it breaks me out sometimes it’s so beautiful. Oh definitely a mistake to pass along the Guerlain L’Essential Foundation! That foundation wears every bit as nice as the Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue. I’m wearing it today and it’s so light that I forget I have it on. Good video & I certainly hope all recipients of your “pass along” foundations love them.

HEY BEAUTY! I WAS GOING TO TELL YOU, "JUST KEEP THEM ALL!!! , BUT THERE WERE SOME THAT I DIDN'T LIKE EITHER! ALcohol in the foundation is not all bad. It helps other ingredients like vitamins and retinol penetrate the skin - but it can be overly drying in high enough concentrations, which can lead to peeling and even breakouts. So would keep the favorite ones with alcohol and just use them ocassionaly!!! xo's

I love Charlotte tilburry flawless when I first put it on, my skin looks lovely. Like you it just doesn’t last, it does odd things, sometimes it turns to slick, slides off or looks speckled. I’ve tried just about every primer. I’ve almost got to the bottom of the bottle trying to make it work, CT did my make up, in 2 hours I was oily, contacted them they suggested wonder glow, that was worse, as expected.. Glad someone has finally had the same experience most people rave about this foundation

Mel! 2 things, 1. You’re beautiful like always 😊. 2.- what foundations (brands to be more specific) make you break out? I try to stick to silicone free foundations but as much as I love**clean makeup I do have slight acne scars and little pigmentation. So foundations like ILIA truly don’t work for me unless I conceal very specifically my spots, or mix it with other foundations. So I also have foundations like Charlotte tilbury, Estée Lauder, and Gressa** skin which is also natural and that is amazing by the way, for more coverage...But Charlotte tilbury makes me break out horrors and I love it 😭 I am afraid of wasting my money since I really need new makeup but my skin is changing and I thought it was the silicone but some makeup with any “one” component doesn’t always make me bad. Do you have any recommendations or have you noticed any correlation between brands and your reactions?

That was fun/stressful to watch! The other day I downloaded a randomizer app and added all of my eyeshadow palettes to it. Each morning I “spin the wheel” and use that palette. Now I’m beginning to see which ones I can let go of. If I’m bummed when it comes up, why do I have it in my collection? (Aside from just hoarding makeup for fun 😂😂😂)

It's hard to part with any product that you love. I have the opposite dilemma with foundation. I'm always on the quest to find my HG ride or die foundation but have very few in my big collection. I have a hard time throwing them out (the struggle is real) because I spent my coins on them (LOL!). So, I think it's alright if you went over 10 because you love and use them. I almost decluttered the hourglass stick but I actually discovered that I love using it with my tinted moisturizer and foundations. I just use my fingers to apply and spread and it’s such a beautiful finish! And I forgot about Dior backstage. I usually wear in summer but I used it today and I have missed it!

Mel , the best foundation was ysl all hours , I have never used a foundation so beautiful. I learned the hard way, it had alcohol which I was unaware , no I'm educated on I ingredients, I used it for a month , it took 4 months to restore moisture in my skin .I was waking up at night to put moisturizer on. It was so bad. I tried everything. I knew it was beautiful because I put it on for work and I I literally had every single person compliment my skin. What a shame.

I tried DM because of you, you need to try her power bronzer! It's a cream bronzer and its water proof. I tried the new tarte one and loved it but the DM one is soooooo perfect. I love the YSL All Hours. If the alcohol doesn't dry me out, I will still use. After 35 years of using alcohol based products on my skin, I don't think it makes a difference on my skin. It's in pretty good shape for 53 and not a lot of pampering.

Lucky!!! My skin is temperamental but I also use Vit A products so something like alcohol can easily dry me out ❤️

If I don't like a product I either save it to give to someone (friend, family, fellow blogger, etc.), donate extras that are unopened, trash it if something like mascara that can't be sanitized. Going through my collection of products I actually like or love would be almost impossible. That being said, I probably need to go through it LOL
