This is awesome, Barry was such a crafty intelligent fighter and Lester was so fast and fit. Lester was my favourite growing up as a kid, him Jeff Fenech, the waters boys and Jeff Harding really epitomised 80s boxing in Australia for me. What a great period

in a society where every Wally who can tie his shoes get's called a "legend," here are two legitimately worthy of the moniker. Great interview. - Lester's lad used the phrase "Lester and Baz" at one point in the interview. That could be a name for a movie on them -"The Ballad of Lester and Baz."

I remember watching Lester and Barry fight on television when I was a teenager. Maybe I'm biased but I think it was the golden era of Australian boxing.
