Poltergeists are my favorites! Luis posted a 'normal' difficulty level on the BGG forums and he also added it to his link on the Kickstarter for the mini Xmas campaign. It's basically challenging but every other turn on the first wave you only draw 1 instead of 2 cards. I've been using it a lot as learn the scenarios. Want to get more multiplayer games in as it's gone over well, but so far mostly played solo. Archers actually don't shoot further from the vault so they only shoot 'forwards' and won't shoot if no monsters are adjacent to them and closer to the vault. I used to do that too, but Luis pointed out that they always shoot closer so monsters further away are safe.

I wish that Keep The Heroes Out was available at the retail level right now. The meeples look nicer and cuter to look at then the meeples in Root, and Heroes has simpler rules to follow then Root. I wish more board games came with cute meeples like heroes these days, and it's looks good to look out if you'll going to teach it to kids.

Hi! I lost miserably in my first 2 games lol. Anyway, I have a newbie question for the loot card. When you use a loot card, do you immediately put them in the discard pile? Seeing your playthrough, you placed the beast card in your play area after playing it instead of the discard pile. How does that exactly works? Thanks!

This is discussed in more detail on page 5 of the rules, but how it works is cards you play stay in a "play area" until you don't want to play any more cards, then they are discarded before you draw back up. This ensures that, even if you get a ton of card drawing powers, you can never play the same cards twice in a round (by discarding it and drawing back to it again). This is how the majority of deck-building games work, by the way, with a play area that "holds" cards until the end of the round when they are discarded.

Gnolls are slightly larger than man-sized hyena creatures. Kobolds are slightly smaller than hobbit-sized lizard creatures. I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed. ;) Love the videos.

Wait what would happen if you only have 1 card left to draw from the hero guild deck at the end of your turn? Does the Guild turn end or do you still have to draw the second card after the guild deck reshuffle?

Reshuffle and draw another card. And I think if the reshuffle makes the card value increase from 2-3 that you draw a third card, but that part I’m not sure about

37:28 are you sure you have to draw 3 cards? From what I am reading in the rule book you don’t draw them as there is no draw icon

Kuraudio is right, you do NOT get to draw 3 cards when a revealed treasure forces you to send a hero to the prison. (Luís Brueh confirmed this on BGG.)

They are from the “guild master’s revenge” expansion from the original campaign. Not sure if they are offering that again.

On turn 5 - Wizard activated Archer and both of them dealt dmg to Gnolls. I thought that Archers have ranged attack so 1 Gnoll should survive, no?

The hero special abilities are one-time events when they are summoned. Afterwards they all fight the same, so the archer hits monsters in her room like everyone else. Hope that helps!

Looks really interesting. My initial reaction when I saw the picture was of Wizard's Academy. Obviously different but some similarities. You said you haven't won and I've had games that were unwinnable or at least unwinnable without massive luck or without a lot of pushing your luck. So let us know if you do start winning please.

Kevin! Won my first 2 games yesterday, so I am getting better haha! There is luck for sure but a lot of it is understanding your monsters and how best to use them. Part of why I feel this game is so good! I can see the Wizard's Acadamy vibe too, thats one I sometimes wish I hadn't sold haha!
