Keepers add Climbing enrichment to Leopard, Lynx & Foxes

The keepers have been hard at work between feed times adding different types of climbing enrichment for the Canadian Lynx, Arctic Foxes & Snow Leopards. These additions will help show the animals better for the visitor, encourage exploratory behaviours and make them work harder for their food - as they would in the wild.

I’m impressed that a snow leopard can climb a completely vertical pole like that! /all the new branches, platforms, etc look great, expanding the enclosures, in a way ..

Artic foxes!! Omg, they are so lovely and fluffy and adorable! Jasper is still looking so handsome, even with that wonky ear! I love what you've done with the Canadian lynx enclosure; super big cat friendly. I am still laughing at how adorable Nieva and Karli are attempting with the feeding pole!! 🤣🤣

I saw a lynx near thirlmere in the Lake District this weekend just gone. Couldn’t believe my eyes. Just walked right on past me and into the bushes. Beautiful animals

Great work. Love seeing the development of the zoo every time we visit something has improved. The new features will primarily be great for the animals themselves but also excellent additions for visitors. Fantastic to have such a well considered zoo in our area.

Omg! It was me that got you guys the kong! I am so glad you are using it for the raccoons! The raccoons are my favourite, and everytime I have visited your zoo I buy a raccoon teddy from your gift shop, and name them after your raccoons! 🦝 I currently have 2, and i have named them Ralph and Miche, when I am next at the zoo I hope to buy another and name the next one Tonto, because Tonto is my spirit animal. I wasnt expecting the little thank you in the video, so that has made my week! Thank you so much for being such an incredible zoo, and I can't wait even more now for my next visit!
