Honestly, a ditty bag for cosplay and specific costumes seems so needed for costumers too. Thank you for this insight!

In my experience the theatre ghosts like to take costume pieces so even if the piece list was filed out at night I still do it again in the morning before actors arrive.

The zip bag is the staple of dance moms at recital time! Glad to see it here, too!

Thanks for all the advice! I volunteer in children's theatre, so it is all very relatable. I give the students a ridiculous speech prior to the dress rehearsal about "the costumes are members of our team too," "don't leave them to cry on the floor of the change room," "you wouldn't want your hangar to be naked, would you?"

Nice comments on delegation. That's a key to success, it's a way of showing respect, it can build comraderies; and it's "hard" to do well. Just that tip was worth the price of admission.

We just finished our community theater production 2 weeks ago! We had a small cast, so no problems misplacing bits during our run. When we did Oklahoma a few years ago with quite a large cast, costume labels and assigned areas were necessary. The ditty bag instructions are VERY good and I'll keep it in mind for our next production...in another year or so!

Awesome! Small casts are the best for that reason! (And you can get to know everyone better too!)

Now you're giving me good ideas for horse show organization and Christmas gifts for my horsey friend 😬 I mean, what are horse shows except theater productions gone horribly awry? 🤣
@MiahGrace3 жыл бұрын
I don't know if I would call it awry....personally I think every musical would benefit from at least one horse on stage ;)
