He may never see this but I want to apologize to Craig, in the past I was hard on him and the team, Craig has grown into one of the most respected voices in the Disney community and his opinions have gone from "negative" to "stern but fair" A lot of the good traits PW possessed rubbed off , been a pleasure to watch the growth . Just wish we could get the studio show back but thats none of my business Been a fan since 2013 and I just want to see this channel thrive, it's been a big part of so many of our lives Hats off to you sir

We have eaten there only once, last year, and it was terrific. The most expensive meal we've ever had because we didn't hold back, but it was worth it. Everyone should save up and eat there at least once.

Oh for heaven's sake. The Brown Derby is in a theme park. Victoria & Albert is in a resort hotel and is known as the most elegant and expensive restaurant in WDW. A hat is by no means necessarily improper in a theme park restaurant.

Great review! This restaurant is amazing. The Cobb is fantastic, their soup is tasty. I love the old style cocktails and the vibe here.

So glad they ate at Brown Derby. I requested it a long time ago, and they finally went there. I do love the Cobb salad, but they have also featured a great butternut squash soup, coconut shrimp, and a really amazing burger. It seems silly to get a burger at a restaurant like this but it was one of the best I’ve had on or off property. The bread and butter is addictive too. If they have a berry or apple cobbler then try that. Their cobblers never disappoint

Great review! Probably the best I’ve seen you all do in a while. I love Brown Derby. We have always had excellent meals there. I had grouper once and after my son had some, he requested to go back to next day. We did not but I probably would have if we weren’t in another park the next day 😊

I was at Brown Derby on Sunday for my son’s birthday. They raised the price of the Cobb Salad from $22 to $25 . I do not like blue cheese. I bought a $38 Mickey Mouse cake and the waitress put the cake on the table and ran away. She did not even sing Happy Birthday to my son. I was so disappointed. Disney use to give birthday cards but stopped it. The cake was dry and not worth $38. The steak dinner changed and has peppers and not potatoes and carrots.

I hated my cobb salad. it was far too soggy(mush) made with over-ripe avocados, and I too hated the blue cheese. So sorry to hear they didn't recognise your son's birthday

My wife and I had two opposite experiences there this past September. We went to the lounge and had one of the best dining experiences ever. She had the cobb salad and I had the roasted chicken with Gnudi. Absolutely incredible. I just had a beer but my wife loved her Margarita. Two days later we were able to snag a reservation in the restaurant for lunch. So disappointing! So loud. the charcuterie board was sub par. It looked pathetic when it arrived. We had ordered the filet for our entrees which showed up about three minutes after they delivered the appetizer. The cocktails were very light on the pours versus at the lounge. When they brought out the entrees after we finished apps, they were luke warm at best and the filets looked grey. SO surprising and disappointing after the experience we had at the lounge. Will definitely go back to the lounge to see if we can repeat our original experience.

My wife and I went to this on our 2013 Late Honeymoon. I was gobsmacked at it's swankiness; I apologized to the Very Nicely Suited Maître d' for befouling their beautiful restaurant with my blue-jeaned-Hawaiian-shirted self. (He just laughed and asked if I was comfortable; I noted, yes, relatively ; he said, "I'm not.") I was also gobsmacked by the restrooms; they were the fanciest restrooms in which I had ever done my duty. I had brought my camera to get pictures of our dinners (to use as proof that we had actually eaten this way); I considered taking pics of the swanky restroom but was pretty sure that this would lead to being escorted off the property by security. (OK, it was Hollywood Studios, so the local security might have been the Keystone Kops, but I wouldn't want to be dropped on the ground by that group.) When I had made the reservation, several months previously, from home in Missouri, I had noted that my wife had several food allergies. One of the chefs from the kitchen came to our table and knelt down next to my wife's chair to get with her on any substitutions. I still get verklempt when I reminisce about that. I hope that we can dine there again, someday. (This is not an establishment where one "eats"; one "dines".) Addendum: BTW, the lettuce on the Cobb Salad is most likely a Romaine. Possibly with some spinach.

The plant based meal did have too many lentils for sure. And I also like lentils. It was lacking in flavor. I didn't love our service and the atmosphere for me felt too dark and dated. With a bit of better lighting there is potential. My friends did not order plant based food and they both thought their food was meh.
