Chris Arledge keeps it real. Agree with everything he says. It ain't looking good for us. Don't know how or when this gets turned around. After these last two seasons of hope and hype , only to be punched in the stomach, I don't care who they sign as recruits, who they get in the portal, who they hire as coaches, how they look like in camp, what type of hype videos they make, any of it. When I see USC looking and playing like USC should, then I will buy into whatever they are telling us. 7-5 and 6-6 sure doesn't move the needle for me or anyone else. I an NEVER going to get excited or hopeful about an upcoming season, only to be bitterly disappointed and let down yet again. I am now in the camp of prove it to me Trojans and LR. You're frustrated because not enough fans show up for the games?? Then go out and do something about it!! We're tired of being sold a false bill of goods, tired of losing, tired of excuses.Just tired of it all. Win games and I and we will believe in you again. Doesn't have to be 12-0, I'm not unrealistic. But 9+ wins every single season and in contention for a Big 10 Championship and CFP berth and beating the good teams ( ND, Ohio St, Penn St, Oregon, Michigan, etc) that's what I expect. You call yourself a blueblood?? Prove it!! Because I sure as hell haven't seen it in the last 15+ years..Right now your an average Big 10 team who are irrelevant in the landscape of college football. USC stopped admitting legacy students who grew up in local USC families and made the entrance requirements outrageously high. So many families with generations of USC fans have aged out and their kids go to other colleges now, so the enthusiasm has waned. USC is losing its local flavor and the students are from all over and go home for Thanksgiving. Pair that with having no shot at the playoffs and the Coliseum felt like a crypt.

Looking at how poor play has been there the last two years (Paige has improved over the season) but I have no faith in his ability to develop or identify (transfer portal) Oline. Game day solutions: 1 Turn the stadium into 70 k seating venue. The section of seats at the upper para stile end needs to be redesigned. Turn the project over to a team either in house or an out side vendor 2: Ceate multiple tailgating sections 3. Parking get creative 4. USC football is a ATM for the school, invest resources to make the game day a "wow" factor for the fans and the players. 5. Build it they will come.

My take on Zacharia Branch is I think he took a really hard hit on a punt return in the LSU game. I think it effected his game. I played college football at 5'6". One thing I learned early, maybe in Pop Warner, was that you always have to hit as hard as you can to neutralize the the opponent's energy. When you hold back, even just a little, you get smashed. From that moment on, I got the feeling Zach didn't want to get hit hard again. He started calling for premature fair catches, letting the ball bounce and made him ineffective. He lost his confidence and aggressiveness.

Also USC fans act very snobby. If you want wild fans, you need to stop looking on a certain type of fanbase. USC has an arrogant fanbase. We went 11-1 and beat Notre Dame 2 years ago on our last game for our first 11 win season in forever, and we had the Heisman fave. Any other school storms the field, but USC fans were ho-hum about it. I even asked people like this is huge, and people were saying, "this is how its supposed to be, we aren't those other schools." Some of it is our fan base because they have a luxury of spoils. We are used to winning championships in LA across all major sports.

God I hate saying this because it feels like providing aid and comfort to the enemy. For years…for decades(!) U$C has had superior talent on the field. You have a superior recruiting base. Offensively (except the line) we can only envy your raw talent. Rockne is as quiet as the Coliseum if not more so. Part of it is your fan base. Rockne has sold out for sixty years. The bigger part is your coaches. It’s not (just) the strategies. It’s also the culture. Your team is simply not coherent unless you have a dominant season. That's the responsibility of the AD and the coaches. I never, ever want us to lose to you, but I’d love to see you disrupt the Big Ten.

Why are the best players from Cali going to Oregon? If you want to recruit against Oregon, hire Lanning. It's going to be a losing battle for players with Knight/Nike bankrolling Oregon. Division Street is run by former Nike execs hand picked by Knight. Every time an SC fan buys Nike apparel, resources are channeled indirectly to Oregon. The partnership and co-branding Oregon has with Nike puts USC and other teams at a decided disadvantage. This is never more true than in an environment with unrestricted free agency and no spending cap. Oregon is the "cool" team in the B1G thanks in large part to clever PR and marketing by the foremost corporate experts in sports marketing.
