I remember the video where a young Wilson asked his dad, " when are you going to let me start bailing " as he was still in training for mowing. Now Wilson is an old pro at All aspects of crop farming. The boys are a great asset to the farm. 👍

I think Stormy will freshen 1st , & have a heifer calf. It will rain to day also. I baught a John Deere 720 toy tractor at Stade's auction. I used to drive one those on my uncle Milo Larson farm. That tractor went for $10,000 on the farm auction back in 2014. Those old clocks were pretty nice. I didn't get any milk bottles. The 4 - H club sold out all of the ice cream. Lydia made me a root beer float, it was so good ! 😊 God bless our Dairy farmer's.

Its Marshmellow season 😉we used to make silage like that too but we had a sausage wrapper a Tubeliner (the new holland dealer sold those) Stormy is coming along nicely. This year it has been a wet one up here in Manitoba compared to last year, I joked with mom and dad if we wanted to make dry hay we might have to hang the grass up like grandfather sometimes did got a video on my Facebook somewhere that shows that from an old promotional film from 1956. Awesome video as always

With a high risk of baler fires. How frequently do you clear all the loose grass out of yours. Have you ever considered carrying fire extinguishers on all equipment too. Afterall. How long would it take a fire engine to reach your farm. Let along get in to a field.

Have you heard of "MOO CALL"? *It's a device that you attach to the tail of your pregnant cow Days before they're due.. It monitors their heart rhythm.. When it detects labor, It sends a text message to Programmed phone numbers And rings a selected phone Alerting that the cow is about to calf. It would be really awesome in winter time when they are confined in your barn (I would imagine). With my beef cattle, I have some that show signs for a month out, and Some that show no sign at all up until ~36 hours prior😅

Four feet wide by five feet tall, and it takes 36 wraps currently. New stretcher arrived today!
