I prefer the boomless sprayer too the boom type, larger particles more effective grass control.

What brand is your Foam Marker? I’m shopping for one now and really like the one you have and how you mounted it.

We actually have custom built our foam markers and fabricated our own mounting/guard system. Had trouble finding anything durable enough for a wide variety of food plotting situations. Good luck!

Great videos guys. Is there a way to plant food plots (maybe not right away) but eventually be able to use a combo of no till and cover crops to be able to eliminate the need for spray. Thanks.

Hi Seth - thanks for the note. This is certainly possible and is being done successfully in certain areas. The biggest limiting factor we see when trying to do this is 2 fold: 1. An overpopulation of deer that that will eat off cover crops to the point where they can't shade out weeds and don't produce to their full potential and don't recycle enough nutrients. 2. Too short of a growing season in northern climates to maximize productions and food availability. I guess, like all things, give it a try and see how it goes. The worst will happen is you need to supplement fertilizer and/or chemical for time until you get the right recipe. Good luck and thanks for watching!

@@dr.sethbarr9351 We actually do a lot of planting for customers in SW WI and that is an area we have some success cover cropping and limiting fertilizer use. Chemical elimination has been tough yet due to the abundance of invasives like waterhemp and certain pigweeds which are very resilient and out compete many planted crops if not treated early on. We certainly like the concept though and are continually trying to achieve as little fert and chemical as possible. We will think about some future video topics and see what we can do.
