Have you ever considered building a bed frame that folds up against the wall?? Opens up so much more space. and if you dont want to fold it up, it can stay open, still looks like a floating bed if you created it that way.

Almost there guys! Just a little bit more work and it’ll be done and so amazing! Suggesting it again, but some rope around the columns would just be an nice little nautical touch and now that you’ve got the rope in the bedroom it would further tie in the theme. It’s crazy how far this one came along from what it was. It looks almost twice as big now even though you’ve added walks and rooms. Brandon looking at another Supreme boat or something else? I truly love that idea!! Yep!! Yea it’s a gamble for sure, but I have to say brandon is exceptionally good at finding buyers for boats. he sells other people’s boats for them all the time & is always keeping a pulse on the market on FB marketplace and buy/sell/trade pages. but there’s never any guarantee that a boat will sell! The economy, politics, etc play into those decisions a lot too - we just got the new (to us) boat yesterday and went with a much older and no frills boat that is actually in our budget because it’s an election year and people can be wary about making big purchases when changes in the economy are up in the air.. so if we aren’t as confident we can sell it by winter, figured this year it was smart to go with a boat we can afford to keep, just in case.

Question, I set my camper up with lithium iron batteries and charge controller. You are the second I have heard mention EcoFlow or Bluetti which I assume they mean all in one power station. Is that cheaper, the same, or just less work? I am asking due to possibly trading campers for a bit larger one... We too were celebrating 80° and now in west Tennessee it has been in the 50s today, so I suspect you have or will soon have cooler weather also. Our son in Knoxville often has our weather about 18 hours later.

It’s just depends. The eco flow is portable and easy plug and play. You can build your own set up cheeper. We have the delta pro with 2 extra batteries with 1600 watts and it runs our place very well.

I realize that you may never read my comment given that you posted 6 days ago. I love what you have done but I would like to make a suggestion for future projects. Consider pocket doors . In such a small space having swing doors wastes space, you cannot utilize the space if the door needs to swing to open. I have a relatively small home (900 square feet) and when I renovated, I changed all interior doors to pocket doors, less busy and now I can use the space that would have been unusable if I kept the swing doors.

Pocket doors are so wonderful when possible but on a floating house, the plumbing, gas, and electrical lines are ran through the walls typically in order to make access easier than having to get underneath the house in the water (also to prevent freezing & moisture issues). So we cannot typically use pocket doors as the interior walls are not open/hollow as they would be in a home on land with plumbing and such in the subfloor. If this was our home, we would not have put doors at all (we totally agree, swing doors make more space unusable and busy). We just use a curtain or no barrier in our house for that reason. But most couples/families aren’t quite as comfortable not having doors and having everything out in the open haha, so we figured we ought to put doors and if they don’t want them they can always just remove them, which is much easier than having to install them 😅

There isn’t. Some folks list them on facebook! Many are sold thru word of mouth. You could call around to the marinas on the lake and ask if they know of any for sale. We are selling the on in this video, of course ☺️

The base isn’t attached to the floor so this way they can totally scoot it towards the center of the room if they want more walking space around, or even slide it all the way over if they’d rather use that space for more furniture in the room. & thank you so much! 💜💜 a wet rag to fix mistakes helps but BABY WIPES are the best! so easy to wipe up little mistakes super quick!

@ 15:40 you should look into Butyl Tape for the feet when mounting solar panels / may be a little more robust than silicone

The silicone isn’t meant to hold the feet in place, the screws do that. The silicone is just for waterproofing! So water can’t get underneath the feet and into the screw holes that way

Battery box is at bench height, much lower than counters. like I said I do envision some cushions on the section that has the wall behind it to make a little seat 🙌 but for the window section I don’t think anyone would use a window as a backrest, plus you’d want to face the view!, so I think that area wouldn’t be practical as a seat so much as extra tabletop space. hinged top is more professional whether you’re in it often or not, an unattached piece of plywood as a lid screams “I was too lazy to build a proper top” in our opinion 🤣🤍

Ok, my only complaint is the music while you’re talking. Be ok if not so loud. Hard to hear you (most important) over that. Otherwise, love what you’re doing as usual. The house is beautiful. Best, Jim 💕

Wow! What a great view the cabin has. The peace, serenity, and nature sounds remind me of when I lived on the lake and how much I miss it. I would love to do it again.
