A hunting party led by Kit Carson heads into the Green River Valley after a long winter of trapping. Besides Carson, the group consists of Basil LeJeunesse and two Delaware Indians, Renni and Tioga. A shooting match is being held in the valley, and the ten best marksmen will be able to join Capt. John Fremont on a survey party heading west to California. Starring Chirstopher Connelly as Kit Carson, Robert Reed as Capt. John C. Fremont, Gary Lockwood as Bret Haskell, Ike Eisenmann as Randy Benton, Emile Genest as Basil LeJeunesse, Richard Jaeckel as Ed Kern, Val de Vargas as Tibor, Joaquin Martinez as Renni, Nick Ramus as Tioga, Ruben Moreno as Martinez, Gregg Palmer as Jim Bridger, Dub Taylor as Stableman, Geoff Parks as Jud, John Flinn as Toby, Rodolfo Hoyos as General Armijo and James Almanzar as Fur Trader.
