Lovely to see you pass through my neck of the woods on this ride. Always enjoy your videos. One teeny tiny thing, Appley Bridge is West Lancashire, not Yourkshore 😜, sorry haha.

Another epic adventure Josh, you never disappoint. I wish I wasn't in my 60's. I camped out last night and my air mat punctured. I woke up with a bad back and it's still bad right now, I can hardly walk. How you manage to lay on the bare earth is beyond me :)

Nice one Josh. Good to see you near my home town of Preston. I noticed you did a bit along the guild wheel and then Brockholes nature reserve. I cycle along that route a lot. By the way. The Preston stretch of the M6 was the very first motorway in the UK. Cheers for your content.

When you did the 110 miles you seem even more energised and hyped at the end of the day. Thats awesome how when your in the zone biking gives more energy back and you seem to start drafting off of biking itself.

Josh, I have no idea why you inflicted the first few days of this route on yourself but I’m very glad you gained an excellent finishing pay off. I have an idea for a South to north route for you which should be a lot more enjoyable. The most stunningly beautiful place I have ever lived is Skerray on the north coast of Scotland. It happens to be due north of Bigbury on Sea. A straight line goes across Dartmoor and, after a wet bit, through Snowdonia. Another wet bit goes near enough to the Isle of Man to justify a visit and then goes through Galloway which has passes few folks know about. Glasgow is bang on the line but then you get the Scottish Highlands. This is a route for weeks rather than days so I’ll understand if it doesn’t suit your needs but it has so much promise that someone needs to do it. Maybe even me, to celebrate my 70th.

Great film Josh. You deserved that sun and those beautiful hills at the end. When you've worked that hard the rewards are that much sweeter. I hope your channel keeps on growing and inspires many people ❤👍

another great video, a few weeks ago i did a ride from the new forest up to Birmingham on my road bike, it was great apart from the all day headwind but also when i got to Stratford and the outskirts of the cities my route just took me on old rocky and boggy cannels so i had to ditch the route and drill it on the roads to the city centre.

Most local authorities have a way of reporting bridleway impasse- results vary (near me is a place that needs attention - boundary of three authorities - all three disavow!)

Feel for you mate. Them paths looked horrible...but you got through it like you always do. Do the NC500 in the middle of September and give the bushes a miss for a bit 😅 I might bump into you 👍

Loved the vid but Appley Bridge is in West Lancashire not Yorkshire. You’ve got seriously lost if you detoured through West Yorkshire.
@christopherrichards387 Жыл бұрын
If the public has a right of way over these bridleways etc then they need to be properly maintained by whoever has responsibility. It looks like that hasn't happened. I suspect the impassable state some of them, where they are on private or agricultural land, is deliberate.
