hey thank you for replying to my query, really appreciate it. I have bought a used psw 2500 recently and have heard and read that all the psw models(2010,2500) have issues with the amplifier/capacitor burning or cooking inside. Since you have owned both 2010 and 2500, did you notice any similar issue?
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
No mine were fine a way to stop this is to turn the plug off when not in use. The capacitors still run when in standby and if left on for long periods (months) they can dry out and split.

hey how do this compare to the svs ones and the klipsch 10” subs
@BigBoyzToyz19742 жыл бұрын
Svs and Klipsch are more extended bass due to bass port also more expensive and newer technology so not really a fair comparison svs are £1000 the Kef is about £180

How would a whatmough synergy3S Aussie sub compare it has a 10 inch Extreme throw driver with a 3 inch (75MM) voice coil and a 200W RMS amp inside and the driver is a similar paper cone (Celloluse fibre) and whatmough say it has more output (I assume LFE extension) than most 12 inch drivers/subs do you think the whatmough would compare well would it get louder or be the same output? Thx mate

Not a scooby do. Absolutely no idea how the Whatmough sounds like. But the only sub I’ve personally heard that sounded better than the Kef was a Rel T7 which had an active 8” and a passive 10” speakers sounded fantastic.

@@BigBoyzToyz1974 well sounds like rel do make some fantastic subs there are a lot on eBay I might have a look as I have a main setup with a svs sb4000 ( I know overkill lol) with Elgar extreme 400 floorstanders (dual 8 inch drivers 4 inch mid and a tweeter with front firing port) and acoustic solutions AV 120 as my side surrounds and wharfdale diamond 9.0 as my surround backs and a marantz sr5010 powering it all and in my other setup I brought a kef psw 2500 ( kinda why I asked about the whatmough but the rel seems better lol) and then acoustic solutions m100 front. mission Center (in both setups) and then auna floorstanding speakers as my side surrounds and then an onkyo tx-sr875 to power it all in this setup. What have you got in your setup does your setup all blend in well? Thx mate

I’m just running a straight stereo rig now I have Rotel A14 amplifier Rotel Cd14 cd player and Rotel T14 streamer wired to a set of Monitor Audio Silver 200 G6 speakers. Doesn’t need a subwoofer it goes super low as is. On my tv I have a Sonos Arc and a pair of Sonos Play 3 for rears haven’t got the Sonos sub yet but has plenty bass in there current setup..

@@BigBoyzToyz1974 oh yes I had a look in curry’s once the bass of the sonos is amazing your setup sounds very nice and clean unlike mine lol but Sonos has amazing bass for their size when I first heard them on display in curry’s I thought it was a full on 5.1 or more setup but just one satalite sounded crazy

hey hi again isn’t this subwoofer over 20 years old today? i am asking this before buying a used one would i have issues as its too old?
@BigBoyzToyz1974 Жыл бұрын
20 yes of abuse would cause issues also if its been plugged in on standby for years..if its been just sat in a dry loft or garage no more issues than a modern subwoofer
@abdulbaakieyakubu4568 Жыл бұрын

@BigBoyzToyz1974 Жыл бұрын
@@abdulbaakieyakubu4568 it's not that kind of subwoofer the kind you connect surrounds to are surround sound systems this sub is for a home cinema amp setup or a micro system with a sub out socket
