Since the port tubes affect frequencies up to but not higher than 150 hz, I'm not sure why he thinks the midrange is affected since mid frequencies range from 400 hz to about 2500 hz. Either tube affects bass frequencies only and should have no effect on mid frequencies. So I really don't know what he's talking about when he says "more midrange" or "slight suckout in the mid frequencies". Since I wasn't allowed to actuallyt hear the demo, I guess I'll never know.

What? so all the other frequencies just, stay behind for some reason, when there is an unimpeded path avail? There is a 1/2hr vid avail that shows the port output measurements done when the LS50 was being developed, very informative.
