Oh cool, I was eyeing this set but there is competition from Kiwi Ears of a V-shaped planar, Kiwi Ears Melody, and I am interested on your thoughts on how would that stack up to the Kefine Klanar. Not much has compared one another.
@PaulWasabii9 ай бұрын
My melody might be here tomorrow, so not far off. I think Klanar is more of an unintentional V shape where Melody committed to it. I think the sound targets were different or their intention as Melody should be more bass focused.

Thanks Paul. I think I'm planared out at this point, I have too many from the previous planar wars 😅
@PaulWasabii9 ай бұрын
Lol. As I said, Klanar tried to fill a hole from the prior planar wars. MP145 did too and Kiwi Melody is the same. They all went smoother, more DD-like and a nice bridge between 1DD sets and stepping up to planar

Great review Paul. I’m firmly entrenched with the low pinna army, this set would definitely be shouty to me. A definite pass. Too intense in the mids.

Agreed. Same here

Solid review, well done. I'm looking for my first planar set so I can hear the driver type for myself. These are on early black Friday sale for around $90, S12 Pro is $135 and I'm sure others will be soon. I'm trying to solve the problem of not being able to pick out instruments on busy tracks, especially rock. Instruments seem to blur together. I'm just worried about tuning because I get listening fatigue easy and am treble sensitive.
@PaulWasabii9 ай бұрын
The one you passed on is probably the right middle ground, the MP145. Having some planar traits but not the fatigue. Melody is there too. As I said, its a delicate balance of having that technical separated sound but not going too bright, too fatiguing. You can try learning to EQ as well if you know your fatigue points.
@spamcan92089 ай бұрын
@@PaulWasabii Now I'm tempted to try them anyway. I don't actually know my fatigue points if you mean specific frequencies. Just that things like violins can really, really bother me. Thanks for the reply btw

Are you planning to review the Kefine Delci?

A maybe. I had talked to them about getting one, but I don't have one or a tracking number yet.

I bought klanar and have been enjoying it but somehow i ended up damaging the stock cable's connector pin. Could you suggest me any other cable without compromising on the audio quality?

Those are just called 2pin 0.78 3.5mm, just look for the option here: www.amazon.com/Linsoul-Tripowin-Silver-Earphone-0-78-3-5mm/dp/B09Z6Y3HHV/

This Klanar or Kiwi Ears Melody? Which is best among the two and gives a true Planar IEM feel?
@PaulWasabii7 ай бұрын
Melody unless you hate bass. Melody is really boosted. The set you describe is closer to Hidizs MP145.

What do you think comparing this Kefine set Vs the S12 PRO?
@PaulWasabii9 ай бұрын
The guys at Kefine literally made this set in response to sets like S12 Pro which were a bit too bright, too harsh. S12 Pro is that typical planar experience, crazy detail and resolution as there is a lot of treble. Klanar took that upper treble and dampened it so you don't get the crazy detail, but you can listen to it for longer sessions and generally more appealing to people coming from 1DD sets.

@PaulWasabii hi Paul, i am a basshead and currently using Legato now. Will my ear could fit well with the sound of Klanar? I really wanted to try planar product and i think i find Klanar is the most v-shapish planar so my basshead ear still could enjoy the bass and also not getting pierced by the treble. Do you think Klanar will be safe for me?
@Shinjutsu2119 ай бұрын
how does it compare to Kiwi melody ?
@PaulWasabii9 ай бұрын
Melody is closer to what Klanar tried to avoid, the brighter treble of planars. Melody has a lot of bass, more treble, probably resemble closer to what someone who has never heard an IEM would enjoy. Klanar is tuned to cut the fatigue which is going to be appealing to some people for that reason.
