That’s not necessarily the case. While I’d argue there’s definitely a lot of talent going around here, and the vocals truly do bring this production together, instrumentals are underrated in their own rights. Without the intricate layers and details of loops, samples, etc., Kehlani’s song just doesn’t have the same impact. Especially in the context of the scene. Appreciating an instrumental isn’t an insult to the vocalist, it’s a compliment to the producers and instrumentalists who created a piece worth listening to.

There was an electropop/punk all Girl band singing with the most ethereal haunting vocals I’ve heard in modern times. At the last second of the dream I remember recognizing I heard a beat like this before/de ja vu but I couldn’t pin point where.
