In MA, during our pushback against the ban over the past month (which has actually made some headway as of this week), we found out that our Registrar is the Treasurer for the Northeast region of the AAMVA. If that ain't a damning bit of evidence, I don't know what it is.

The ban sounded like its coming from angry dealer corps that wanted these small but realible trucks away because of the small cost of these things compared to USA made trucks that makes their money. While the reason of ban is understandable Being the small crash structure (just being crushed by haulers in accidents or solid suvs and offroads) and engine power being too small for highway speeds. It doesnt really make sense outside of these reasons.

The main reason there illegal in most of those states is because of the inability to get upto highway speed safely or at all and because of that they pose a serious hazard to other drivers most motorcycles can easily get to and maintain highway speeds safely
