It is nice that it is a stairway to heaven. It makes the road much more easier than w/o one. Also, it is usually cloudy there.

We’ve tried the route that you went, but got lost. The directions went something like, “cross five bridges, and then turn left between two stones near a monkey pod tree.” We may have done the stairs side a couple times though. I watched an old Magnum PI episode that had Tom Selleck running up the stairs before the H3 was there. It was neat to see. That little building, under the hwy, was in the show too.

I recommend the Camino de Santiago in Spain. My sister and I walked the French route in 2010 and it was an amazing experience. Took us 28 days to get from the French border to Santiago de Compostela, 500 miles to the west, and then we continued walking to Muxia and Fisterra on the coast.
