I wasn't interested in this guy because I already had Ozy, Drake, and Maid Alter. So I went for Anastasia when her banner came out. Then I played though the Lostbelt and realized that I needed to have Salieri. I did a single ten pull, because that's all I had left, and a golden rider card appeared. I thought 'this isn't happening' and watched as the servant revealed itself. The servant slowly appeared and I received my third Marie. Just as I thought 'not funny FGO' a second golden rider card appeared and I watched as Ivan appeared in all his glory.

Easily one of the most overloaded skillsets in FGO. Even got buffed in JP recently for some godforsaken reason. Absolutely busted, flew under the radar hard, and looks like he came out of a Dark Souls game. Didn’t even need to watch the video to know i’m rolling, watched anyways :)

Ryoma is godlike in arts teams i'm waiting for his "rerun" in JP to use him with Tamamo (the new mechanic to get wellfares) Imo they fits different roles Ivan is a servant that needs the team built around him (even if he has Buff removal and stargen) while Ryoma is more "flexible" he can be a DPS a support or a semi support Cant wait to get Ryoma in NA

I always wondered why he didn't get more attention. I thought he looked pretty strong when I first saw his skills back when he released, but assumed i was overestimating him because nobody talked about him. I was lo-key hoping to get him when I summoned for Salieri but now that's changed to Summon him at a reasonable cost(gotta hold out for Achilles).

I lack a SSR Rider and strong ST Rider. A servant leaning on buster falls into my circle of team comps. Once I heard of him and saw his skills I knew he’d be awesome. Was looking to see his sprite and it’s not bad. I think I will roll for him even though he’s AoE. No denying how strong and awesome he is. Great video and review, but don’t sweat sleeping on him. There’s been handfuls who said Achilles more than him. Both are going to be great! 😎

Ivan is in the awkward spot of being the LB King who stands out the least and having Ozy as a rival, who me having means I'll continue saving for later Kings who better fit roles I need. Still a God. Now expect him to be an overshadowed by JP's reveal of the next King's playable version being truly broken later on in Spring.

Now it hits me... According to a study of Ivan's remains he had a great problems with bones in the end of his life,barely being able to move by himself,feeling an enormous pain every single moment... And while seeing his heavy moves in game,teleportation toward enemies instead of walking,I wonder if Delight Works made this like an actual reference to history?.. 🤔

Just gonna mention that a very good 4* suport for him as well would be edson,for similar reasons to others already mentioned,CD reduction star gen production and his consept improviment gets along well with ivan NP,his np debuff + his defense up+ivan atack down can get the damage ridiculously low ps.:his bond CE gives np gen

I would agree with you if you said he is the best BUSTER rider in FGO But Imo Achilles comes like 2 weeks later and if you have your own Skadi he makes every other rider in the game look like a joke, he can loop on doors at lvl 1 lmao and even without her he is pretty good, not broken tier but still

Looping doors is easy AF,,,, achiles can't even loop doors at level 90 with double skadi only with no outside help.. try him with double skadi and regular scope it just doesn't work.

I mean.... I guess I could _try_ to NP2 him after getting him on a ticket, but an NP5 Drake, NP5 Ozy, and Kintoki Rider, as well as NP3 Maid kinda say 'what's the point?'. I'll probably end up rolling for Achilleus and Reines, when they come out, and while he probably doesn't compare to Kintoki (what welfare even does?), Ryouma is supposed to come out this year as well and doesn't seem necessarily bad. Honestly, the Rider class in general is mostly OP

Man, that Ivan is going to be tough for me to resist to not summon. Hate to say it but, I must save my Quartz for Dark Magician Skadi as she is my top priority for this year. I do have Francis Drake that spooked me from Ereshkigal banner, so that puts Ivan on a lower priority for me. The myth and legend in the friend point Gacha came to my Chaldea yesterday using a free 10x pull and a zero star Avenger showed up ready to curse my Gacha luck. Guess I'm part of Angry Mango club now.😵 He counts as a Chaldea boy at least.
