Former Conservative Cabinet minister Sir John Redwood, joins Jeremy Kyle to discuss his fury over Rachel Reeves and Keir Starmer's handling of the economy.
Sir John Redwood criticized the current government's economic policies, comparing them unfavourably to Margaret Thatcher's pro-growth approach. He highlighted the government's anti-enterprise stance, citing high taxes and red tape. Redwood also criticized the BBC's international branch for not competing effectively with American media giants and suggested neutralizing the BBC.

Hi, I'm in Cornwall, but really feel for the northern communities and counties. They certainly haven't accounted for weather differences or flood areas, re,WFA. They know industries have been depleted in that area, yet they couldn't think to give the North another Runway. They've ignored the petitions and pleads of Northerners regarding net zero, just as they have here in Cornwall. Stay strong up there, we're trying to get answers from our MPs regarding rape gangs, since it's been mentioned often there are 50 areas at least, I don't hold much hope though.

Redwood knows his stuff and spent many years lobbying against the IR35 reforms. So many Ltd companies are closing now and setting up in the middle East or EU if you have the passport. It's ridiculous 25% (was 19%) Corp tax, business disposal relief increasing by 4% from this April until 18% from April 2026. Employment rights from day 1, business rates increasing. The list goes on, and they want to grow the economy😂😂😂😂

Bless! I welcome His Britannic Majesty approving the RN's 7th SSN of the Astute Class (most capable Hunter Killer subs in any navy), being named as the 4th 'Achilles' in UK or other Anglosphere Realm service. So honouring in particular, BOTH the HMNZS Achilles that fought in the successful WW2 Battle of The River Plate to defeat the German, "Graf Spee" AND the HMS Achilles that served at Belle-Île-en-Mer in the British victory over the FRENCH, during the 7Years War. In which our o/a crushing of FRANCE consigned that upstart power ever after to relative 2nd rate status.

Jan 30 2025 After watching hours about the U.K. and your immigration situation, which we in the USA have also had, I suddenly remembered how awful President Trump was treated by everyone in Britain when he visited! He was an invited guest of the Queen and thrilled with what he saw as a huge Honor yet everyone from the British people on the street, Media, Politicians and even some members of the Royal Family (Camilla) all made snide comments, gave snooty looks, had awful views, statements, demonstrations and even a horrible nasty balloon they proudly displayed for the entire World’s amusement. Let me ask a question of the British people please. How would you feel or react if your Queen had been treated so disgracefully when visiting another Country? Or, if she had been treated this way as an invited guest to the United States of America? Honestly, Shame the devil and speak the truth! Now, how do you think we Americans feel? Starmer actually came to the United States to Campaign against President Trump over Joe Biden on Foreign Soil. Really? I’ve never heard anything so disgraceful in my entire lifetime which is quite long. He came with 10 others and worked the campaign against another in a high stakes Presidential election in America. What would any other Country have done if this happened? You’re lucky we’re still speaking to anyone from Britain. President Trump has been extremely gracious considering how awful he’s been treated. He had his entire family with him when he proudly visited your Country but you didn’t care! You should all should feel ashamed of your conduct. The American people are much better than any of you for we don’t have such horrible manners as you do. You’re utterly disgraceful & pathetic. If, you don’t remember, please refresh your memory as it’s all still out there on the Internet. He was so proud to be there and you were cruel to him and with his own family with him. That says so much about you as a people and a Country. Perhaps what’s happening now is justice. We have stood between Britain and dismiss a few times yet not one of you care to every remember. Now, you may have the opportunity. You truly are the most self serving and entitled people on the Earth. Do you not see anyone else but yourselves? You continue to speak about Starmer and Trump without ever speaking of the entire situation. Sad. You are your own worst enemy.

When it comes to Thatcher, she did not have to deal with WIDE OPEN BORDERS, huge Government debt (no thanks to Bailing out the Bank and esp COVID), an emboldened Communist China and Wokery. What would she have achieved if she'd been presented with those huge problems ?....a lot less, I suspect.
