The last government refused to implement the protection of children based on the recommendations of the Inquiry, and now Badenoch is further trying to block safeguarding children. The last govt also refused a request for a national enquiry from Oldham Council.

We do not need another FULL enquiry. We already have an enquiry. We can do two things at once: 1 - action findings in the report already completed WHILST ALSO 2 - actioning a smaller, quicker, inquiry to update and add data to the valuable stat we already have.

The right to buy scheme is a specific scheme used to buy publicly owned, publicly build homes at massive discounts. Legislation to make it easier to buy your longstanding home is not the same. The big issue with right to buy is the loss of publicly owned housing stock and the discounts applied to those properties limiting money coming in to councils to rebuild the housing stock.
