Thanks! The last day was definitely a special day. I've fished here a ton and never had an hour of fishing that was that good. Thanks for watching!

@@AaronsOutdoor1 Your welcome sir. I am a huge fan of your content, and It takes me back to when I used to fish Lake Lanier quite a bit when I lived in Georgia. But now I live up here next to John Dalton who you know quite well..LOL So I am getting the best of both worlds having learned of your channel watching John.. So keep up the great work and I look forward to more content.

Thanks! The last day was really awesome! That had to have been my best hour of fishing at this spot. Hopefully you can get on some white bass! Thanks for watching!

That was an insane hour of bass fishing. I've only fished once with 3 inch Keitechs. I heard John Dalton talk about them and bought some white ones and dark green ones and took them up to Michigan. My cousin and his son took me fishing on their home turf lake and I caught some nice smallmouths. In fact I outfished them on their own lake! I left some lures with them.
@AaronsOutdoor1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Keitechs are amazing! I personally think they have a more lifelike action than pretty much any other soft plastic swimbait on the market. That's cool you were able to outfish some people on their own lake. It's hard to beat Keitechs! Thanks for watching!

You're 3/5s of the way to the Georgia Bass Slam. Nice.

Yep! I think I'll probably be getting to five here pretty soon. Thanks for watching!

Man what a great video. I have days like this on the Upper Cahaba river here in central AL. Instead of shoalies in the current we have Cahaba bass. They don't get big but they head right for the current when hooked. Great job, Aaron!
@AaronsOutdoor1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I've heard of Cahaba bass, but never caught one. I think they're similar to the redeye coosa bass, which fight really hard for their size! Thanks for watching!
@IIIPewterIII Жыл бұрын
@@AaronsOutdoor1 They are a sub species of red eye. They get blue and brown during the spring. Very hard fighters for their size. Little pounder bass that dog me on light tackle 😂

Great video. Keitech is one of my go to swim baits as well. What swim bait hook were you using? It appeared to be a screw lock Texas rig setup
@AaronsOutdoor1 Жыл бұрын
Thanks! Keitechs are great! It was an owner screw lock. I responded to another comment with the specifics and a link. Thanks for watching!

What kinda hook and size and weight was you using? Nice video.
@AaronsOutdoor1 Жыл бұрын
I was using the 5/0, 1/8 oz size of the following swimbait hook. However, I think a heavier weight would have been better. www.tacklewarehouse.com/Owner_Weighted_Twistlock_CPS_Hook_3pk/descpage-OTLW.html

What part of the river is this?
@TheDisco672 Жыл бұрын
Shoal bass is that a smallmouth bass variant?
@bartfoster1311 Жыл бұрын
No, it's a different species like spots or redeyes. They do act a lot like river smallies though.
@AaronsOutdoor1 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, shoal bass are their own species, but they are somewhat similar to smallmouth. However, unlike smallmouth, they really aren't found in lakes. If a river is dammed up, the shoalies will go up river to get out of the lake. Thanks for watching!

Are you using fluorocarbon in this video and when you’re on Lanier?
@AaronsOutdoor1 Жыл бұрын
Yeah
@BREAKINGDOWNBROADWAY Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response! In your opinion, what’s the benefits of using straight fluorocarbon vs braid to Fluorocarbon leader? I just started fishing in Georgia “Lake Lanier” mostly and so many people say different things.

You got yourself a little Honey Hole rite there! All that debris stuck against that bridge is a bit concerning, how it might affect the integrity of the structure.

Sometimes fishing here is great and sometimes it is terrible, but that's part of the challenge with fishing. You never know what you're gonna get! Thanks for watching!
