I Really Wish I Could Have Seen You Play In Concert like I had Once with Keith Emerson in ELP and Chris Squire and Alan White with YES 8 times back in the Day. This Is A Great Tribute Video and Thanks for Sharing this to Keep ALL These Great Memories of ALL These Musicians Alive 👍

Chris gone. Keith committed suicide and Greg Lake dies of cancer. I can't remember the times I saw Chris play with Yes, at least six times. I sat close to Chris while watching Return to Forever in the 70s in St. Louis. There where other well know musicians in the audience that night. It was truly overwhelming. I try not to think of their death, but concentrate on how they lived. Their immense contribution to the world will last forever. May God bless them all. Rest in peace.

ELP, were the best of the best! Lake had the most beautiful voice, Carl was like no other. And Keith was way ahead of his time with keys. And to a woman's point of view, the most handsome trio ever, of course back in the 70"s

I share your lucky feelings. I sew ELP 5 times (once with a 65-piece orchestra). Keith was my music idol. I saw Yes 12 times. Whenever they came to town it was like seeing old friends.

Chris was a dear personal friend, I miss that guy every day (He was the wild card in my world!). I never saw this video till now, I’m sure Scotty Squire was in the audience (Hi Scotty!❤️ Hugs to you and Xi!). I had drinks with Keith Emerson, at the Canyon Club (I was there with Billy Sherwood and Tony Kaye, they didn’t tell me Keith was coming until he sat down!). Breaks my heart that Chris, Alan and Keith are gone. They sure changed the paradigm of what constitutes a great musician. Much love to all. Rock in Peace Chris, Alan, and Keith. You are forever in our hearts, missed every day.

Thanks for uploading this - I was there that night and even though Led Zep were the main attraction and I felt very privileged to see them, my overriding memory of the night is having my guts shaken by Squire's bass when they briefly broke into the 'Kashmir' riff. Shame that was the only time I ever saw him play, but at least I experienced it once in my life. R.I.P Chris and Keith, masters of their trade

I think there was a video explaining how when forming his first supergroup, Keith wanted Steve Howe and Chris Squire. At least he got half of his wish before passing on. Miss you Keith and Chris but you did your jobs well.
@robertglisson63199 ай бұрын
The great thing is that they all knew each other VERY well, as well as all the other rockers. Keith's description of his cocaine-induced all nighter with John Bonham is worth the price of his autobiography alone. Keith and John were talking about their kids. Keith said his kid as mastered much of Bach while John said, "My boy Jason is eight, and he already can play all of Zep's shit." At eight! They were at a bar in Switzerland, and Keith was to give a ride to Ringo after a drug and alcohol-induced day, and he wisely declined. They were ALL mates. Bonham and Carl Palmer were very close. It was a small world back then, particularly in England in the early 70s. Can you imagine this today? Emerson and Wakeman drank together a lot. Wakeman was a beer drinker while Emerson preferred wine. What were the conversations like, with both in their prime?

Chris was invited to play in Emerson's band (ESP?) but didn't think he could be a lead vocalist. Keith was invited to play in Yes, but said, ~Why? I'm in a very successful band.~ Not egotistically, just matter of fact. IMO, both choices were correct.
