What a pleasure to hear from Keith and Kristyn ❤ Love their music 🎶

Twelve years ago, I first heard 'In Christ Alone' and 'The Revelation Song'. Almost instantly, I went from a Roman Catholic going through the motions (and with no idea as to how many books in the Bible), to having a more intimate relationship with my Redeemer and a daily Bible reader. Not ever 'hymn' or 'worship' song conveys my feelings for God, but each is someone's attempt to praise Him ❤🙏🏻

When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, is my favorite hymn. We sang it in our High School Youth Choir at church. Then on Easter vacation we traveled up into Oregon & Washington sang to churches, rescue missions & even a prison. That was the one song to me I could feel everyone listened to so carefully. Every year as I grow older, it means more & more to me & always brings me closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ✝️🙏❤️

They have been blessed by the Lord and give glory to God with their hymns and songs. Their songs are theologically sound and beautifully composed.

NO. DEAD WRONG. They have GONE WOKE, attending that disaster social justice warrior "church," The Village, in Nashville with the disaster Matt Chandler. Unless they repent immediately, they are going to embark on the decline of their lives, relegated to the 'relevance' and fame the likes of Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer and that charlatan Beth Moore.

These people are wonderful. What is shocking to me is how little of a following the Gettys have on KZbin. Compared to many other people that have much less influence.

Love the Getty’s music and its impact on my life and ministry. Having attended one of Keith’s songwriting workshops I came to realize how carefully the text is crafted and each word deliberated over. May you be blessed in your continuing gifts to the Church❤️

I LOVE the old hymns!! There is so much testimony of God’s faithfulness, goodness and love in them. They bolster us up. I like also that Keith says it draws the generations together - unites us with other believers who have gone before us and those that will follow.

I recorded this episode when it aired, but watched it today, 4 days after my father passed away. Their music and Granger's testimony really helped me to understand this better, to understand my feelings and grief. Thank you.

What a blessing! The Getty's music has had a huge impact on my life.

I just LOVE the hymns the Gettys create, arrange, and share with the world. Their hymns are deep, based on the solid Word of God and gives a peace in the soul that lifts you into deep communion with God. There is not the emotional excitement that we see in the “praise and worship” sessions in churches these days, that deflate after. The hymns they sing are messages/sermons that bring peace, inspiration and that remind us of the truths of God.

Kirk thank you for hosting these two and introducing them to me. I was grateful for the professional introduction and for the more personal questions. I noticed towards the end, your line of questioning was geared more towards a certain theological point you wanted to get across. Although I agree that worship is more than singing songs, I thought there could have been more open ended questions to allow your guests to share more about themselves/what's on their heart. But overall still grateful for your interview and your professionalism. God bless you.

I don't understand why you believe that Almighty God's Will isn't already controlling everything from the beginning of creation or why he needs to be worshiped. If I was Almighty God I would not need anything from humanity.
@HisBelovedSon70x76 ай бұрын
Interesting reflections James. What makes you think God controls everything? Christian's believe that although God could relate to us with a heavy hand (ruling us by His power), He instead allows us the freedom to do as we please, so that He may weigh our hearts. His priority isn't to get His own way, but to find people who love Him and others freely. And you are right. God doesn't need us to worship him, He doesn't need anything from us. If we fail to do so, the rocks will cry out. But, like a Father is due respect from his children, the Lord is due our worship. He delights in receiving heartfelt gratitude, but He never needs it. He is fully satisfied and whole before we even enter the picture. Our praise adds to His joy, and He is pleased to share Himself with us.

God doesn't control us. We have free will to choose Him. He loves our praise and WE NEED HIM!
@Tyler-gb5sl4 ай бұрын
God has granted us the dignity of causation. We have free will. Because we have an enemy named Lucifer who is the thief who steals, kills, destroys. Who is a liar who deceives the world into doing evil Gods will is not always done. It’s not just us and God folks. We have an enemy of our soul and we are in a spiritual war. If we are in Christ we are of the spirit and are no longer slaves to sin . Sinner is not a believer’s identity. A born again believer is identified as saints who struggle with sin as we mature in the faith we sin less and less with the goal to be conformed to the likeness of Christs character.
@robertmueller20237 ай бұрын
We are all slaves to sin, just like the man beside the pool at Bethesda. But how did his lack of conscious mindfulness of his decrepit body cripple him? If this world is just a rainbow hologram, then our bodies are no exception.
@Tyler-gb5sl4 ай бұрын
A born again believer is biblically identified as a saint who is positionally no longer a slave to sin . We may struggle with sin but it’s no longer identity. We are dead to sin and alive to God.
