Keith @ RC ICONS teaming up TRUE VINTAGE RC for the Vintage Bash 3.0

Yep, that's right. Keith is coming to the land down under, not to sample our Vegemite but to attend the 2024 Knox Vintage Bash 3.0
It's been a long time coming but Keith makes the commitment to heading over and it's going to be a blast start to finish.

It takes a lot to prepare for these events, travel to and race them, which also means turn marshalling after each race too.. then there's the time spent capturing the video, either with a go pro on a pole or flying my DJI drone. Eventually when I return home I'll drop all the footage I get into my hard drives and begin the immense task of editing it enough for people to watch without getting motion sickness 😆😆😆. There's a reason few people are up to the task but I employ the power of autism and get er done... and still I must be the only channel that refuses to compromise with ads by NOT monetising. Crazy to think I do it all for no monetary gain.

Vintage cars on a dirt track racing is just epic! I did it in the 80s and there is nothing better! Leave the carpet raving to the Mardave minis lol but seriously Keith and you guys are living the RC dream being involved in an event like this! You aren't wrong James. This is my normal. I raced on these tracks in the 80's and early 90's then in this vintage resurgence in the mid to later 2000's onwards, always been on dirt. Carpet and Astro isn't my type of off road. The cars need to slide and roost because for me that's true off road.

Its gonna be a great event by the sounds of it, need to try my best to get there next year 🤞 the class system works great, Revival and the lakeland classic use an age bracket system for cars and it works great. A nice mix of cars from that era battling it out on track 👌 im throwing a rough rider out there this year. Seems a great fun class, where its more about getting through 5 mins than coming 1st 😂

Keith will get the full Sydney rc tour. Castle Hill, North Ryde plus the home of the 1989 Ifmar - St Ives. Also on our trip home the Wodonga track... some great track action videos will come out of this

Castle Hill has been completely rebuilt now in order to make ready for the 2025 IFMAR WORLD TITLES next year. I live about 2 hours north of that facility so I'm yet to go see all the changes for myself. But im told its no longer suitable for vintage racing 😢
