RIP and thank you Keith for your tremendous contribution to Rock-n-Roll. With that said and my hat off. Keith's final resting place is very beautiful but, I truly thought it would be more well travelled with folks paying homage. Larger than life as The Yardbird's were in there day. I guess I thought his final resting place would be equally as large as well. Its hard to put into words how important this bands body of work was to fans & artist!!! When allowed time, The Yardbird's bridge the gap from what came before them, transforming into The Hard Rock we know today. They laid the ground work for the future that followed them. Again RIP, your voice still plays in my home, car, & in my head very frequently. I've wore out tapes & abused CD's of this extraordinary talented band over my years. Thank You all 🙏 God Bless!

'Keith Relf' was for the Yardbirds 'Ace' frontman and as you said was a shame that through that unfortunate electrical fault met his demise and not achieve more success that he in my opinion surely would have done. Thanks for your genuine and respecfull presentation as alway's!

Thank you for this, poor Keith Relf, it was an absolute tragedy that he lost his life in this way and had so much more to give. Massive Yardbirds fan still! 💕

Keith Relf had the most amazing voice I've ever heard. I also am a lifetime "massive Yardbirds fan still". His death was a true tragedy. The yardbirds were ruined by a series of extremely poor/incompetent managers/producers at the end -- god-given talent squandered by those who did not deserve to breathe the same air that they did.

I discovered The Yardbirds about 10 months ago while I was in a pub with one of my closest friends. Later that day, we went home, put on a playlist of their songs and started working on a huge puzzle. It came as a shock to me when I learned of Keith's tragic passing. I'm so sorry he left us way too soon. The Yardbirds deserves more recognition. Keith deserves more recognition. ❤️

Keith Relf is a forgotten pioneer in British music. After the Yardbirds he formed prog rock band Renaissance and then formed heavy metal band Armageddon. Sadly, one of his young sons found him dead in the basement of their home.

keith had already been gone about 9 years when i was introduced to his music. all of his bands and body of work is amongst my favorites. most famous for his work with the yardbirds, i feel the rennaisance stuff is also fantastic. keith also worked with the 2 man band " medicine head " as both a producer and a member of the band. later keith would put together the band armageddon. keith suffered a collapsed lung in 1964 and was told he would never sing again, but he returned a short time later with a number one hit. the fact that he was able to overcome the loss of one lung and still front a loud rock band is beyond incredible... my all time favorite frontman !!!

Hi, I'm Pablo, from Mexico City. I'm currently 43 years old and I'm a fan of Keith Relf, obviously I discovered him with The Yardbirds, I heard them for the first time there in 1998, a CD. I have all his discography in digital, his solo stage with Jim McArty in 1968, with Renaissance, 1969-1971... "Love is all" is my favorite song. And with Armageddon... whenever I listen to it I feel a great nostalgia for it, and to know where it rests, for me is to know more about it, and that it lives every time we play its music. I play the electric guitar, I am self-taught, I recently did a demo of "Stroll on", and obviously his music accompanies me everywhere. thank you for showing me his eternal resting place.

The Yardbirds and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers were two bands that spawned musicians who would become world famous. Clapton left the Yardbirds to join the Bluesbreakers and then left them to form Cream.Peter Green succeeded Clapton in the Bluesbreakers and left to form Fleetwood Mac with John McVie and Mick Fleetwood. Peter Green was replaced by Mick Taylor who eventually joined the RollingStones. It's incredible that a band like the Yardbirds could produce such influential guitarists as Clapton, Beck and Page. Keith Relf may have been taken too soon but he created a fine body of work which displays his talents as a musician.

Loved the Yardbirds when I was a kid. Yardbirds and Status Quo were the groups I cut my teeth on learning to play the guitar. When the Yardbirds disbanded and then reformed as the New Yardbirds they were playing a university gig and Keith Moon from the Who was being interviewed on the radio at the time. Jimmy Page was listening to the interview. Keith Moon was asked how well will the New Yardbirds go? Moon sarcastically replied, they'll go down like a lead zeppelin. The rest is history.

I think it's been less than a month since I left a comment here, but I'm back because I can't bear not telling you this: if you want to learn more about Keith, I recommend reading "Heart Full of Soul: Keith Relf of the Yardbirds" by David French. It's a full-length and very well-written biography of Keith. I finished reading it yesterday and it left me speechless. The dedication Mr French put into this is mind-blowing and Keith's life story is definitely worth knowing. He really did have a heart full of soul.
