Awesome. The Every Brothers were a big influence on the Beatles too.

True story..I tried heroin because I thought Keith Richards and his life style was what I wanted to be. 40 years later and a 25 year battle I've been clean from the evil shit for 15 years. But, I learned much along the way and maybe am the better for it. This is beautiful! He is an amazing guy. All his solo stuff is fantastic. Kid's don't do as I have done!

So glad you were able to get the monkey off your back, drug addiction is a MF! I'm a recovering addict as well. 30+ years clean. I realized Keef was heavy into the life style and I'm somewhat surprised he made it through...so glad he did. That being said and speaking as a retired musician, I just won't rate him as this wonderfully excellent player. There are tons of R&R guitarists that I'd rather listen to and that play soo much better. Just an old geezers opinion.

The man has integrity and he's funny too. I got a great chance to see Keith and the Stones in 1969. I was in the Air Force and drove 125 miles north to Chicago where they were playing with Mick Taylor. To keep this brief: At the 4th concert in two days, I spent the last one, dead center, against the stage and Mick was 3 feet in front of me. Keith to the right (could see his fillings) Mick Taylor to the left and Bill Wyman on the far right. My hearing aids work just fine!! 🎸

As of this year Keith has been free from heroin for 41 years. Even though it seems he can't shake being called the most famous junkie in the world. 😔

It wasn't just heroin. Let's not forget speed, nicotine, copious amounts of alcohol, and cocaine. Plus plenty of various pills including valium and quaaludes. Also LSD, Weed, Shrooms, etc., etc. Don't get me wrong. I am a huge fan of Keith Richards. He has lived his life like he wanted to. I know it's only rock and roll but I like it!
@jenniferbrown-west7823 жыл бұрын
@@TheJackflash85 I didn't mention any of the other drugs because there's no details on that. But you're exactly the kind of person I mean that will keep him as the world's most famous junkie. Glad to see you're perfect.

@@jenniferbrown-west782No Not perfect here and I don't want to be. That's no fun. Now by Keith's own admission in many interviews, He did it all and has said he has an amazing constitution to do drugs and booze. As to no details, read his book or other bios on the Stones. It's all in the public domain. It has been for many years. I love The Stones and Keith Richards's music, and also their story! Jennifer, I was in the Music Biz for 20yrs. I drank a lot and took pills. It's part of the world of rock and roll. I'm just glad Mr. Richards is alive. As you know so many in rock and roll have died due to drugs. I am glad he got off heroin. Keith Richards is among the super famous. He was busted more than any other rock star for drugs. Maybe he is the world's most famous Junky - So what! - " I don't have a problem with drugs, I have a problem with the police " - Keith Richards

in feb, 1977 rolling stones were on tour in canada.Keith was arrested for drugs.This accident almost stopped the tour for the band.At this time Keith had serioudly problems with heroin.Keith recorded this beutiful track together with Ian stewart on piano.After the rolling stones played two concerts in benefit of blind people,the police let Keith go.You can read the whole story on the internet.You can hear Keith having trouble listening to this beautiful track.It is one of my favorites

WELL !! I have never heard Keith sing this Beautiful Classic Song, done by the Everly Brothers in the 60s, Keith's voice is dominant right through this song, along with the Beautiful Piano/Keyboard Playing, Keith's version in my opinion is Outstanding, to me, better than the Everly Brothers version, although the Everly Brother's version was Brilliant.

Keith did three sessions where he's behind a piano and sings covers and so called standards which were all bootlegged. Toronto 1977 with Ian Stewart, El Dorado Studio in L.A. 1978 with Bobby Keys and he overdubbed some guitar parts as well and in 1981 at Long View Farm Studio where this track is from. Keith took this last experience to the rest of the band and later that year they rehearsed at Long View Farm for their 1981 tour.
